As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult after starting a successful event planning business at 23 because I couldn’t work for anyone else…and who’s been on Adderall for 10 years….I can’t imagine how different school would be with it. I was ALWAYS failing but now homeschool my own kids and make curriculum…it’s really a crazy thing.
I am glad you said this. As I was listening to this, I was wondering if they’d had a medical diagnosis. I got tested at 18, didn’t really take it but went from academic probation to deans list. I was prescribed concerta extended release until the one that worked best for me was discontinued last year. I now am trying adderal extended release and wonder if these people take the short ones? Because it definitely doesn’t feel like that magical pill people seem to love.. It clears the clouds from my brain and takes the lead out of my limbs but I don’t feel that crazy burst people love..
@@JKboston47 I think that’s the difference in people who actually need it and people who take it for tests and such. I never get a burst of energy, I just can act like a normal human and focus on one thing at a time. I also have never struggled to sleep like Craig says he did, but I also only take it in the morning and afternoon, never before a night out or something like that.

My takeaway from the entire adderall conversation is that my dosage must not be high enough 😂. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 33 and the last year and a half has been the only time in my life I haven’t had anxiety.
Same here!! ADHD presents much differently in women too. I feel calmer and more myself on meds, and it doesn’t make me wired at all, like I can nap and sleep lol

I was diagnosed in College for my Masters, but I should of been diagnosed in Jr. High after a horrible concussion in 6th grade. I am a lifer...and I CAN NOT function without.. after now 4 concussions (2 are declared TBIs) its a must.
