Nikkie well shoot, seeing your comment made me think how I enjoyed the loc extensions videos the most. I had just said I liked them all equally, which is true. But I watched the Loc ext ones twice.

I watched some of your videos but have been following you casually for a year and a half now. I'm trying to decide on a "treat yo' self" for my 2nd loc-versary and am thinking about trying to set an appointment with you. Really enjoy your videos. Very educational and have taught me a lot about self care and locs.
I've enjoyed going 2, almost 3 months in between retwists after an interlock. I've been loving the thickness and freedom of doing so.
I'm 9 months in my loc journey. I like semi freeform but at the same time I'm not 100% comfortable with my hair not being retwist. Thank you for the video🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹

Last week i cut off all my locs. They were 19yrs old...and so now I'm gathering info that i didnt have with my 1st set...I'm thinking about go with semi free form...👍🏽

Girl, great job. Ignorance is rampant these days. I tell folks all the time that heavily manicured or twisting are not for me. I've been semi free forming for years. My dreads are mid butt ... I'm 5'9". Time for my 3rd cut. Washing is neccessary for healthy and sexy dreads.

Thank you for your commitment on making NBN videos. I watched the majority of them. I have to say this was my favourite. I love progression videos where you see beginning to end. This also reminded me very much of my own journey before I cut my locs. 😞

Hey there, how long do you go between interlocking? I changed over to interlocking and going about every three months or four months for another tightening ...

Hey! New subbie😘 I’ve been binge watching your videos I’m so glad I found you! Based off of all your amazing advice I was able to start my own locs 1/22/20. I’d love to free form until the 22nd of February. Is this possible with starter locs? Or should I just retwist them

Hi just want to say I am new subby☺ and I have a question first off I love all ur vids I am teaching myself how to do locs n trying to get more of an understanding especially with maintenance thinking about doing it to my daughters hair n I saw ur video with ur son on no retwist but u plaited cause he didn't want to do the retwisting which I thought that was unique n different and was just wandering cause his hair was super long n I know it was a journey, could that be like a transition out of the locs 🤔 you know instead of having to cut off a lot of ur hair? I thought that was really neat please lmk 🤗

My hair grows away from my locs and it’s soft, is it possible to still semi-freeform? Also, is going without twisting/interlocking for about 3-4 months is considered semi-freeforming as well?

Beautiful. Did semi free forming cause flat locs? My hair is fine, do you think it will put strain on the new growth?
I do think it will put a strain at al but flat locs is a def risk. I had a few but I caught it early
I have a bad scalp problem & my hair grow away from my locs & there starting to get skinny at the root & im 2 years in & Idk wtf to do 😭🤦🏾♂️
Try getting them repaired for the roots and then keep up with a routine for maintenance
I want to do some leaving my hair alone but sadly some loc need more attention. I noticed if I leave it alone the loc would get thin because the hair at the root is growing away from the loc. Because of this I am now doing a light interlocking just to keep the hair where it should be. I also have thin hair somewhat like yours.
Semi freeform isn't for everyone. My locs thinned and broke when I stopped twisting them because my hair didn't grow into the loc.
It's beautiful 😍❤️ naturally. They or we as black people have been white hair world washed out that we have forgotten our natural beauty. Black aim I but lovely it's in the Holy Bible 🙏
