One time I was a very Porsche fanatic: knew all the subtleties about all the models, now I am more on the ground, but you can see clearly how more advanced engineering it is...
Very enjoyable video. I know that many hate Porsche in their GTS variants, but I have always liked them...including this Panamera. Carmine Red is always beautiful...but that Mamba Green is something else!
Great review with the Porsche in its best environment. I liked to see the objects in the middle console moving with the G-force on the race track. Great car presented by a great driver!
Great estate car by Porsche! I wish I could afford it ,pretty expensive .An allround sports , family , practical car. Super interior. Great engine and performance , Just so damn expensive , but hey it's a Porsche . Super review Thomas !
I with all cars had full micro fibre interior options, that would be amazing. One thing I don’t like is that Porsche charges so much for it even though it costs way less to make compared to real leather.
Really good driving part, and many thanks for interesting views of Bahrain driving techniques. At 50:21 - yes, most people will just be cruising along at 70 km/h (if they're lucky!) - or stationary in traffic like the other carriageway - in that vehicle. Excellent Review Thomas, many thanks for the info.
Thomas, a quick question, this Panamera GTS ST and Macan GTS, not considering the price difference, which one would you choose and why? Which one drives more agile and swift and more "fun"?
Porsche is my all time fav brand !!! thanks for the review ..it was very interesting nd while u were driving on race track tht part was most interesting to feel nd know about the car well .. 🙂😄
Whoa, it's a big beast. I know the Top Gear guys think it's ugly, but I kind of like it. It's got immense presence. I certainly wouldn't want to drive and park it on Britain's crowded streets, but I bet it's a brilliant GT car. Mind you, rear legroom seems no better than my 13 foot Honda Jazz!!! It seems strange seeing a car that big hooning round a racetrack! Great review as ever, Thomas.
Hello Tomas, your videos are superb! As you drove a lot of different cars & have a lot of comparison would like to have your professional opinion. What would you buy: porsche panamera turismo GTS or bmw x7 3.0 diesel? Price range is the same, but which you prefere more?
The turbo as standard doesnt come with sport exhaust system where as the gts does. Seeing that both have the same engine, it is most likely that the GTS is louder
The big difference is the particle filter! The Turbo will also get this for the new modelyear, so I do not think that it makes sense to compare the Turbo without OPF with the new GTS with OPF.
Unfortunately just when ICE cars like these are virtually perfected, our roads are now too crowded and speed limited not to mention the zero emissions and forthcoming environmental urban restrictions. Great video typically thorough as is the German method Thomas. 🏴👍🏻
very good looking car but don't understand, with such a small increase in performance why Porsche choose to uses the heavy weight V8 for the Panamera GTS and not using the lighter weight V6 from the S version? I sure they can easily get the same level of performance with the V6.
I tried both the normal and sport seats before I bought my Turbo S Sport Turismo. I disagree strongly with your assertion that the sport seats are less comfortable for everyday use. Rather than trying to tell potential customers what they should choose why not encourage them to check out both styles to see which one suits their body shape best?
@@autogefuehl Fair enough. Don't get me wrong, your original Sport Turismo review was incredibly useful when it came to my decisions re purchase and specifications so "Thank you". The sport seats were the perfect choice for me as I proved during the summer with a two week/5,000km circumnavigation of the Iberian peninsula. Maybe at 1.97m tall and 66 years of age I need more support than you do. lol Keep up the good work.
hi bro! are you sure the shift is 8-speed PDK? I've never heard of it. Are you sure it's not the 8-speed ZF or 7-speed PDK? thanks man! amazing review!
Regarding the key/ignition: You mentioned (at 9:00) that you'd prefer a push-button. I agree that it's silly to have that "fake key" permanently there to turn the ignition on; I would prefer to have back the old Porsche way (previous generation of Panamera) in which you insert the key fob into the ignition slot there, because it gives you a place to put the key... I worry with this new concept (present also in the new Cayenne), potential thieves can look in and think that the key is in the car and try to break in... Stupid idea by Porsche...
Not keen on the sound those V8s make. Yeah I know, stone me etc. But the V6 with a sports exhaust sounds better. The 8 is too hammer-like, too harsh, lots of bass which then disappears and it sounds quite thin once under heavy load. The 6 has more treble and it just appeals to the ears a lot more.
I don't get it? Soooo Porsche is charging 25,000 more over the 2.9 V6 S model with 440hp for a V8 with 460 hp? That just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but I guess people will buy it? Weird I think I'd be happy with the S model
Supermann Thomas in Bahrain mit einem weiteren tollen Testbericht, aber ich glaube nicht, dass Sie viele Köpfe bekommen werden, um das U-Boot zu fahren! lol 😂
All these Volkswagen products like Porsche, Audi etc, trying to beat the only real car, the Mercedes S63. By the way i always like your videos. Welldone.
@@autogefuehl there is a story that I read where Porsche is concerned that Google collects too much real time data from the ECU. Mor than is needed for the Android Auto function. Will Google use it for their own car development in the future. I have a Macan S but no iPhone, wish they supported A.A.
yeah that's also what BMW is arguing. So Porsche and BMW dont do Android Auto because they say Google claims more data than Apple, and Tesla does neither (they said they dont wanna have Java support for hacker security reasons...)
+Autogefuhl - yes, Java support, and hacking, trojans, virus etc, must be a great concern to the car manufacturers. Everywhere is vulnerable, so cars equally. The manufacturers must be concerned that this could lead to compromising their own main company systems - with soon all cars connected to the web, for EV charging, autonomous sharing information, etc. An interesting subject. Many thanks for your great Review.
Ugh, as soon as you got the car on the track, I heard it. Fake / Active Sound. It sounds very much like the 718 Cayman / Boxster. Why Porsche? You are letting down your buyers with this nonsense. The car has a twin turbo V8, let us hear that!
Top quality review as always. Panamera looks beautiful.
Daniel Sadjadian Lol I see your comments in almost every car review I watch.
Mánuel - What's wrong with that bruh...? Chill...
in da house Where exactly did i say there was anything wrong with it ? I actually find it cool because that means we watch similar stuff.
Great review as always, dreamcar right here!!

Super review Thomas !
Thomas...I have a lot of respect for you, but I hope you realise that basically all cars have plastic bumpers, right?
yeah I pointed out that its normal, but its interesting to feel and hear the different materials
Thomas, your reviews are the best! Keep up the good work.
cheers pal !
FINALLY SOMEONE MAKES A GTS REVIEW !!! I've been waiting to hear the real sound of the GTS for so long! It really is the same as the Turbo version :)
Feel free to share :)
Mamba Green is the coolest name for a colour I have heard in a while. Looks great also.

What a beautiful car! Always Porsche! Thanks Thomas for this amazing review! You are the best! Saludos amigo!
saludos!
As again it’s very good car presentation , Thomas you are really makeing a great job , very good language thank you ,

Merci beaucoup :)
I like the Sport Turismo version with that green color.

In the metallic green, this GTS is top of my wishlist. Nice review.
thanks ! keep recommending =)
Would an episode in which the Alpina B5 Touring + Mercedes E63s and the Panamera estate faceoff, be possible?

Can’t wait to see this go head to head with the AMT GT 4 door
K Uddin Which version of the AMG GT 4 door? I believe the 63 model goes up against the Panamera Turbo.
Daniel Sadjadian the 53
@@kuddin9021 well the amg gt63s already beaten the panamera turbo lap times at nurburgring....

Is the sound of the GTS louder than Turbo?
No its the same engine but with one Turbo instead of two
JamboWillzyx how do you know it only has one turbo? Everywhere I’ve read about it, says it’s twin turbo, just with less power than the Turbo/Turbo S.

I d say the AMG GT is more the beast, the Panamera more the "settled" one
@@autogefuehl Thank you!
Is that the new dolomite silver metallic at 3:19?
Hi Thomas, your reviews have always been very informative and practical. In your opinion, is the HUD a worthy option?
Thanks! yeah it is
Thank you for taking time to answer my question.
For some reason I always miss the length in metres when you say it off camera. I think I have to go back 10 seconds in that place on every review.
i love panamera

The Porsche Panamera ❤️it’s one of my favorite Porsche’s and it looks like a Hatchback so that’s a win for me😁❤️

I think they didtn want to sacrifice the V8 since the GTS always had that. Image reasons...

I can just give my experience with different seats. That's why I am the car reviewer. Of course there will be people who think differently, why not

Well it's not just the engine. The GTS is equipe with a lot of other Features too, which cost extra in the 4S
To prove if it's plastic or metal use a magnet
Better than knocking...
+Zac Design - but what of aluminium! Or carbon fibre. Or filler! Magnets don't always work! Cheers.
Are you sure you can choose a bench for the sedan ? 🤔
Yes, if you check the configurator, you are able to choose the "4+1" seating for the rear also for the sedan now
Not N/A anymore 😞
Porsche Panamera GTS 💙
