I always thought turning a highrise apartment building into a zombie safe house would be a smart idea.
Find some survivors inside the building, and slowly clear out each unit one by one, after any remaining zombies didn't find their way outside. This way there would be plenty of supplies, at least for awhile. To add, the atmosphere would still resemble how things were before. It would feel nice.
I think it would be a great idea as well. Plenty of living space for everyone. Hopefully there isn't any bad apples in the group haha.
But realistically speaking, my biggest concern is the longevity of the building with how long its going to hold up without maintenance. Will it stand the test of time with nature battering it every day?
this works with normal zombies, like walking dead kind but with 28 days type of zombies you will need more people to clear and barricade.

highrise even with no Elevator would be A good Place to Keep Sane Just Barricade the First Couple Floors but Scavenging is Harder when you move out of the HighRise Half an Hour and back
Prédio é uma péssima idéia em um apocalipse,por não ter muitas saídas rápida,por ter usar escadas ,e por escadas ser a única saída,seria erro de amador,sem contar que num apocalipse os outros seres humanos são a pior ameaças,imagina ficar encurralado,você vai fazer o voar pela janela?imagina toda vez que precisar de suprimentos você ter que descer e subir várias escadas de volta,pessima ideia ficar em cidades menos ainda em prédio!!!!

i have some suggestions that might be good
1 - the same ambience, with rain, thunder and all that stuff, but from time to time, some volatiles screaming like they're far away from you.
2 - maybe some gunshots for a couple of seconds and then stop, might aswell add some explosions far away
3 - some radio people talking low on the background too, that would be really cool.
4 - some gun cleaning sounds or some checking on supplies sound effects of sorts
i think thats all i have in mind for now, hope y'all see this comment!

Don't make a sound at night, or you will give away our location. These things seem to have a heightened sense of hearing. Good thing there is rain to disguise any movement we make. My dog is pretty quiet, too. Watch him to make sure he doesn't alert on an intruder appoaching. He will let you know with his ears and head perked high.
I hate the sounds they make! I’d wear earplugs, but then I can’t hear them if they start pounding at the barricades. I mend it every morning. But just in case they break through… I always keep a revolver at my side 🫡 🔫

The Orphanage that me and Vincent grew up in was burned down when the Pandemic first hit, but no matter what happened in these past 20 years, we ALWAYS had each others' backs. It doesn't matter what Infected monster we come across, what cultist lunatic is trying to kill us, or even what military division is hunting us to use me for a science project, we always got each other. But now that I'm immune, things have gotten so much more complicated, maybe I can help save what's left of this world...maybe I'll be the omen of doom that the Cult keeps saying that I am...but one thing's for certain...at least my Brother and I have each other.

Indeed, as correctly mentioned, red light is typically used in situations like this to avoid being seen or drawing attention. Regarding the red lightning, it's an element we intentionally included as a foreshadowing of the apocalypse and the dramatic nature of the scene :)

Random question, about how long into the apocalypse is this? I ask because you can see lights on in apartments. I figure there wouldn't be any electricity.
Yes, it's a bit unusual, but the apocalypse in this scenario is still in its early stages. Some areas still have intermittent electricity, and people are managing with whatever resources they have. It adds an interesting twist to the usual post-apocalyptic setting :)

This may sound crazy but in situations like this you meet real brothers and the best thing to do is try to keep everyone alive and not get into a lose lose situation and always have an exit or 3 lml but imagine chilling in the safe house with the guys after doing a surveillance run, get back and adjust your gear and load up on ammo and wait, eat some food, possibly get some rest and then be out the next day………..

Actually why must interiors or homes in a zombie apocalypse world be broken and rundown. Wouldn't the inhabitants be cleaning their home and make do with the what they have, but still live a sensible lifestyle?
Indeed, you've noticed! In our scenario, the chaos during the initial outbreak led to a significant amount of damage. While some survivors do maintain order in their homes, the overall scarcity of resources have resulted in many interiors being broken and rundown :)
In a zombie apocalypse, homes become broken down, dilapidated, collapsed, moss-covered, and generally eroded over time because there is no one to maintain them as the years go by. External factors such as gas explosions, military bombardments, and other destructive events also play a significant role. Additionally, you can't stay in your home indefinitely because your supplies would only last about a month at most. Once you go outside, there's no guarantee you can make it back.

That's right! this is a very quiet scene with just the sound of wind and rain. We're actually working on another scene that's more intense in terms of audio, where we'll be adding distant zombie sounds and survivor gunfire :)
Imagine a safe tree🌲house where you can rest, because you are full of meds, water and food. The tree is very safe. the house has even the electricity, and a good bed. because of his Height, the biggest tree in the apocalypse its gonna be Your safe spot for tonight.
You've got an arsenal,and even snipers to check better then the binocular, so you know what is happening Around you.
Just one thing, zombie are not a problem, but even a single human, can try to Climb the tree, even if its impossible, Who know, maybe he is the one that you dont never expect.

Watching too much horror and apocalypse movie I obtain level.99 trust issues. That's me alone on the 12th floor viewing the broken down city with my sniper and 1 bullet remaining contemplating when or if I should headshot myself.
In a zombie apocalypse I don't think there is electricity in any building.
This scene represents the initial phase of a zombie apocalypse, where there might still be electricity in some buildings thanks to emergency generators. However, it's important to consider that this situation could be temporary and electricity will become increasingly scarce as the situation deteriorates

Absolutely, in this scenario, paramilitary tactics are essential. The lack of medical and resupply options forces survivors to rely on their strategic skills
It's nice and relaxing, but you might as well re-title it "rain on window ambience" because the only part that indicates this is set in a zombie apocalypse is the image of the apartment. Should have also included the sound of zombies moaning or gunshots going off to make it more apocalyptic. Even the City in the background looks way too clean for a zombie apocalypse, no fires or damaged buildings?
Thank you for your feedback! You make a great point about the setting. This video actually represents the initial phase of the apocalypse, which is why the buildings are not yet damaged and the environment appears relatively calm. We're planning to release a second part that depicts a more advanced stage of the apocalypse, complete with zombie noises, gunshots, and other dramatic sound effects to enhance the apocalyptic atmosphere :)

Depending where the apartment is, simply destroying the first floor stairwell and leaving a stack of fully dead zombie corpses near entrances should be enough to deter most "Normal" zombie incursions.
