Good afternoon! As far as I understand, this method does not work when converting to UH of shorter duration. If I translate a 4-hour UH to a 1-hour UH, I get a graph that is not like UH. It happens because of the interpolation.
we are going to find the 2 hour unit hydrograph from 1-hour unit hydrograph and the interval duration is 30 minutes, what will we going to do if instead repeated values we got alternate values?
The summation of the product of UH ordinate and Time interval is always constant while drawing UH. Am I correct? if so, the sum of the product is different. can you please solve my confusion?
intensity is unit cm excess rainfall in 2 hr(i.e 0.5 cm/hr), the difference of s curves lagged by 3 hrs gives the DRH for 0.5*3=1.5 cm excess rainfall in 3 hr duration ,so for obtaining 3hr unit hydrograph we divide the DRH by 1.5=3/2 which is same as multiplying 2/3.

Make you s hydrographic longer. Making sure that the number repeats. That way when you subtract you get a zero
