Blind eyes conceal the sun Burns away all traces of our past I swear it follows me And conquers every place we hide We must now be alone in this cosmos In liege to this warlike star And I can feel the gravity Pulling us apart We erred in knowing That we were the last in line It brings forth fear and fury To end what we call time Claw through the blindness Clinging hard to the past we arrive With nothing but loneliness We give ourselves to the tide
I saw Pallbearer on the Decibel Magazine tour back in April in Minneapolis. Everyone I went with was all about At the Gates. Which is understandable. At the Gate is legendary... I was there to see Pallbearer. They did not disappoint.
Awesome piece. Burden, power, riffs. "Fundations Of Burden" is for me the best rock album of recent years. I listen to it non-stop for half a year and still can not get enough.
+Choruseffect they played a pallbearer song on the radio, I can't remember what song but it was on the WREK 91.1 FM metal show on Friday nights at 11pm -6am here in Atlanta, GA.
Actually that's how I found them. When I was in 7th grade, Princeton University (who I live just a town over from) had a doom metal block on their radio station every Thursday night around 10 pm if I'm not mistaken. It was on that radio show that I first heard Devoid of Redemption from the 2010 Demo. My life was changed from that moment.
The Japanese version of Pallbearer's new album HEARTLESS comes to the rescue and will contain the FEAR & FURY EP as a 2nd bonus disc! It will be the only way to get it on CD. I am definitely getting that version!
I am so disappointed that Pallbearer decided not to include this amazing song on their upcoming 3rd release. That terrible decision killed off a lot of my excitement for the new album.
I only have the song on RUclips. I do not have a CD burner to put it on CD. I have all their other songs on CD so I am not investing money in a record player just for one song. Doom metal does not sound better on vinyl than on CD. Its simple, if you want my money then release it all on CD or else none of it. Dont pull the "vinyl/digital exclusive" move with certain songs while others get CD releases. That kind of stunt will quickly chase me off.
Blind eyes conceal the sun
Burns away all traces of our past
I swear it follows me
And conquers every place we hide
We must now be alone in this cosmos
In liege to this warlike star
And I can feel the gravity
Pulling us apart
We erred in knowing
That we were the last in line
It brings forth fear and fury
To end what we call time
Claw through the blindness
Clinging hard to the past we arrive
With nothing but loneliness
We give ourselves to the tide

+Some Guy Where I found out about them. I went to see Converge and they were awesome, but Pallbearer was groovy as hell!

+bobunitone That whole show was awesome.

1967haze More like Metal \M/
Listening to this hidden gem for the first time. Always stoked to hear new pallbearer that I haven't heard before!
imagine if you turned on the radio and heard this.
+Choruseffect The regular FM radio? Yeah, I'd think I was dreaming.

I heard Worlds Apart for the first time on a regular Belgian FM radio, one evening. I instantly pulled out my smartphone for identification ;)

Love it, this hits that sweet spot these guys do so well. Brett's vocals are amazing.
Awesome track! Can't wait for the new album, keep up the good work guys.
I now crown the "Kings of Doom!"
This is beautiful song structure
Thanks for posting this!
love this
So beautiful!
opened up for these and Bast in Birmingham, UK. one of the best live bands I've seen.tiny venue
Metal evolves! Nice!
Simply marvellous
Damn it, I really hope they include this song on their next album.
I second that
Sadly, the band recently confirmed on Facebook that this song will not be included on the next studio album. Totally sucks!

What a fucking riff!
I really want these guys to dig deep on their next record.
It's coming.
I saw them last night and they played a song off of the new album and it was fucking incredible.
ball pearer
Ouch.
Sweet 33 speed 7 inch? Is this available?
Its actually not a new song, just a song from 2012 that was never on an official album. Its kickass that they re-recorded it lol
Think about Kix "don't close your eyes" as a cover. Could work for your sound
This track summarizes what my hopes would have been for 'Foundations of Burden.'
Lyrics need to surface!
You can totally understand the words. It's not death growls.
ya but not for ppl with regular size ears u dumbo ass bitch
ShaRMz6g
Name calling huh?
ya post the lyrics or stfu
Does nothing for me unless I was having trouble sleeping. Sounds like something being played at half-speed...

It will get an official release
And sadly even that release was screwed up because it was only released on vinyl and digitally. I need it released properly on CD.
Doom released 'properly' on...cd? What the fuck dude?
Bands do that all the time. Who cares? You still have this song regardless of it being on the album or not

it's good and all but it's no sorrow and extinction...
