What a magnificent combination of design semplicity and raw 3L power it was. And it worked well if it wasn't for the legendary 312PB after the 12 Hours of Sebring '72. Sadly every time I see it I cannot help myself and think of the tragic flight over the woods of Indianapolis at Le Mans 1972 that costed the life of the legendary Johakim "Jo" Bonnier. Such an unbeleavable crash, what Elford realised with his own eyes after the stop with his Alfa 33 to help the Ferrari Daytona driver which without will caused that, must be terrifying. No doubt he retired after such a scene impressed in his eyes. I don't wanna make no one sad here, just portay the memory of a great driver who flew into the heaven of the Motorsport Masters without touching the ground once lifted off along "Quick Vic" that sadly left us few months ago. I will tribute this great video of yours about this great Lola to the two of them. Lest We Forget, Johakim and Victory! ❤👋

    No torque it just spun . I love that sound . 1972 Wow 178 hp / L - 2.44 hp / cu in ... not that 250 ft lbs from 182 cu inches isn't impressive .

torque at the engine isn't important, power is. you've got a gearbox to trade in rpm's for torque (at the wheels-which is important to accelerate fast).

Those 3L (and 2L) looks so small and fragile, compare to modern LMP1-LMP2, no wonder the GT had such trouble to see them when ovetaking.
