  • Norrøna Falketind is one Jacket you can NOT ignore! Beyond the spechs, this coat looks amazing. If Red Riding Hood were going to go deliver a basket to Grandma's house today, she'd bust out this beauty. Fit is beyond great. Wear solo or layer to your heart's content. Rain🌧️, sleet, snow❄️, or sun☀️ no problem. Find out why I am in love with my Falketind and where you can get one.

    The Falketind is great, I got one as well and it has the best hood of any hard shell i've tried.
    One thing though, the falketind is gore-tex 3L with a C-Knit backing which gives it a slightly brushed feeling and it's why it feels so good against the skin, and the Beta AR uses gore-tex pro. It's also cut larger to fit more layers.
    A more relevant comparison would be the arc'teryx Zeta AR or Beta LT (though that one doesn't have pit zips).

      Thank for checking out my video!! You most certainly know your stuff! I appreciate feedback. I would love to check out an Arc'teryx jacket. Unfortunately I wasn't financially able to keep both for testing. And companies don't like it if you wear them a few months to try and return! Haha. I'm hoping after January I can get a new test coat picked out. Pit zips might be a deal breaker. I use mine so much!

      @@MarissaCollison Yeah I totally understand you. It's honestly shocking that they don't have venting on the beta.
      Keep building your channel and maybe you'll eventually get review copies :)

    What size are u wearing?

      I buy a size small so I can layer under with a puffy.

    Do you have size XS or S? I'm the same size as you (5'2, 125lbs) and have to order online!

    • @MarissaCollison
      @MarissaCollison  2 года назад +1

      I can bounce between a small and xsmall. I got a small in my original falketind. When I got a replacement for repairs the newer style was a roomier in the sides and the arms were much bigger. I would like to try an xsmall to see the difference. I always want room for layers and puffy so I still might need a small. My mom is 5'2" and has borrowed my coat and the size small fits her well. She is a bit bustier than I am.

      @@vertical.poetry exactly why I started doing reviews! Where I am there is no way to try on or sample alot of the gear I am wanting.

      @@MarissaCollison yes,super appreciate your channel for this reason. I am in rural BC so no stores nearby. I ended up getting the Scott Vertic 3L as a mountaineering/heavy duty raincoat instead of the Falketind. I love it. Scott has some amazing shells if you're looking for a new one. They run large so go for XS.

      Had not heard of them before. I'll check them out. Rural is kind of close to us! So you get similar weather, you know the struggle. Got some new gear reviews coming out this fall.
