    This is my all time favorite documentary. It touches the depths of your heart. You can feel the passing of the baton, and the love of a grandmother for her granddaughter, and a granddaughter for her grandmother. You can feel the extraordinary bond they share. You can almost see the precious legacy being passed from generation to generation. You can almost see Michiko squaring her shoulders and accepting the mantle of leadership. You can almost see Michiko slowly come to terms with the painful realization that her beloved grandmother wasn't going to live forever, and can feel her determination to hold onto every precious second she has left with her. And you can feel Yachio IV's reluctance to leave this world without performing one last beloved dance.

    The documentary is very good, the last part made me cry.
    You Dancing and singing can last until the end of your life and can be passed down to the next generation

    i like that yachiyo IV's real name is Aiko which is the name of the grand daughter of the empress of Japan while Yachiyo V's real name is Michiko which is the name of the empress of Japan, both grand mothers and grand daughters have the opposite names
