what was that Col. Klink move at 2:10? I have this pedal . It definitely has that Friedman sound. Be warned, it is very bass heavy and has a huge amt. of boost via the volume control. I'm sure it would push even the cleanest of amps into distortion at 12:00. You'd almost have to run it direct into the power amp section at those volumes.
Interesting would be to find a demo somewhere of the Fuzz Fiend going into the Motor City Drive. Would like to know if it wouldn´t sound spectacular,- especially for studio work with a good lunch box amp or a quality cab sim or IR.
Why do u never use the Suhr Henning? It's a good pedal platform. FYI. Egnater rebel horrible. Egnater tweaker one of the best affordable lunchbox size amps. It's great.
Can this be used to push a cranked non master plexi-style amp ala eric johnson and kinda get that similiar warm violin type tone? Similiar to how he uses a famous tube powered od pedal?

The gold one is a Hartung, the purple one is a Framus master built custom and the flattop copperish green one is a Berumen. All of them are out of the price range of mortals.
I think they Brown Eye pedal sounds great. I also like my EHX English Muffin. I like those better compared to this. How ever I think this pedal is more of a lower medium gain pedal.
Live at NAMM it sounded amazing and very natural sound killer overDrive. This Demo is doesn't sound good to me. Sounds like a forced fuzzy distortion. Very different then I remember. Did you change the circuit? Or is this crazy German guys Demo not the best representation of the true tone?

Nothing changed at all. You have to remember it sounds very different into different amps.
All the distortion comes from the clipping LEDs so why bother having a tube in there ?
I like this pedal. But too loud on 12v with original tube. I use now a low gain 12AU7. More versatile. Less gainy more vibes 😊

It's virtually impossible to hear the characterisitics of a tube overdrive with humbuckers. ARRRRGHHH!
