if you like the asian dough stick("you tiao") you should really try the authentic version with a cup of soybean milk at the street breakfast stand. the traditional way is to stick the youtiao into your soybean milk to make it soft and full of the soup. the combination is also a classic Chinese breakfast😂
The temple in this video is called Luohan(Arhat) Temple. It was first built around 1000AD, and rebuilt several times. And at last it was burned out during World War II, and rebuilt later like this. BTW, in Chinese Buddhist etiquette, usually there are three incense sticks personally, and it is best to perform the bow ceremony with an odd number of times, with three times being the most recommended.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed that other people hold scented candles with their left hand, so they are almost certainly not left-handed. There are many explanations for this habit. The first explanation is that killing is more serious with the right hand. The other explanation is that in China, the left hand is larger, which is a sign of respect for the Buddha.
Hi bro, that temple you went to is a buddhist temple, the statues that you passed by are all buddhas, thats why they have a thick mat before them (for people to kneel and pray), the boxes before them are for donation, you can put cash in there and that money goes into the construction of the temple. The "thin sticks" you took are called "Good-Smelling" when directly translated from Chinese, they are used when making prayers. You take 3 of those (man you took 4), light them, blow the fire out (don't keep the fire burning), then you hold the sticks in front of you with both hands and bow three times while holding the sticks, making your prayers in your heart. Then you put the sticks into the large sand container with both hands, and you can enter the large temple that has the large buddhas in there.
I would have taken you to explore Chongqing, but my child is going back to Los Angeles for kindergarten! So you came to Chongqing and I came back to Los Angeles!😂😂😂
15:37 the “candles” here are incense. When you burn it, you don’t have to have a flame on top. When you see the tip is turning grey, it is already burning. Another way to tell is that you blow to the tip, if the tip glows, it is already burning.
