I hate to say it, but godzilla minus one was just ok. def shouldn't have won best CGI, the only movie in that category it beat was Napoleon.
The 50 million dollar budget was respectable, but also sketchy. We all know how the japanese working condition are so I'm going to hold off on the budgeting praise.
Edit: The budget was actually 10-12 million, I now I know those mfs were paid like the average japanese animator, sketchy doesn't even say it.
it should have been in the category of best picture best screenplay best direction..but they hollywood decided on their woke agendas and bloated spending to break even or lose money..godzilla at 15 million is embarrassing to america and the only way to squelch it is award them visual effects to keep relations in the future intact..perfect story..perfect antagonist and protagonist..perfect picture and its a fantasy movie..barbie is a joke for best picture.

@@realreviewsofficial mb gang fr, but it's not the budget that I have a problem with, twas an ok movie. Was it the best, no, was the CGI the best, no, was the story the best, no. I had lots of problems with it, but something I really did enjoy was the creative way they dealt with godzilla, using the bends to kill him was super creative, but there are many more problems with the climax anyway, so... it would be forgotten if the academy didn't glaze japan at every opportunity. Also the movie was way too predictable, and the more I paid attention the worse the movie got.

Its a masterpiece..i saw it in theaters 5 times because of the woke hollywoodless crap and i needed a story without woke agendas..word of mouth got me in and every single time i cried because of the power and the pain of a country japan that dealt with the worst crime by the us and the atomic bomb..i was totally invested in this movie and i knew the academy awards had to give them an award to keep toho and the japanese foriegn market happy..but it should have been in the best picture category..at least it was recognized..but it was hidden because the embarrassed the hollyweird industry by being a total budget of 15-20 million yet make over $100 million and after the award win they could have kept showing godzilla black and white and colored version right now but they were under contract to start promoting gxk(godzilla and kong)..there will never ever be a godzilla movie like this one..this is perfection in every scene and a top 10-15 all time of all historic movies..i stand by it till the day i die.
