It seems there are still quite a bit of people struggling with getting this to work so I might make an updated video showing how exactly to install it. I recently had to reinstall both this mod and black mesa to get it to work since they added chapter 4. Let me know if you guys would like to see an updated video and I'll get right on it.
For me, the solution was to copy ALL the files from the workshop folder to the base Black Mesa folder. Afterwards, I launched with "bshift" and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for uploading this helpful instructable, but it didn't work for me, so as others have done, I copied the entire contents of the workshop folder to the Black Mesa directory and all went well. They needn't have made it so complicated.

I had an extra folder called bshift I moved this along with the other files to the black mesa folder (note: "steam appid" was already in my black mesa folder?) I then entered -game bshift in my launch options. I restarted steam, then launched black mesa from my steam library and blue shift launched successfully.
If you can't find any sign of a download like me chasing my tail and clearing cache, unsubscribing and resubscribing, check the files - they downloaded with absolutely NOTHING showing in my downloads, 5.75Gb should have been visible at SOME point but who cares :)

It's pointless to have this mod in the workshop and then for god's know what, you need to do all these methods to install it and pray to it don't fuck up in the process 🤷♀
@@JPostman425 yeah this mods installation should be updated or fixed, the point of the workshop is the to make it more simple to download mods, you are meant to just click the subscribe button

I had the "setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesnt exist in subdirectory" issue and i fixed it by just dragging all the files in workshop/content/362890/2424633574 into the Black Mesa folder, set "-game bshift", restarted steam and it worked damn that was hard
@@JPostman425 yo I’m the guy who couldn’t figure out how to download it, I’m gonna try to download the moddb version, this mod looks great but it defeats the entire purpose of the steam workshop, the point of the steam workshop was for people to download mods without all of the confusing stuff, but the idiots who made black Mesa blue shift decided to completely change that and made it so you had to do all the confusing stuff again, and there is a high chance that what you do won’t even work, they need to fix this

@@JPostman425 unfortunately no, the files aren't the exact same in the video for whatever reason, I think only 1 is different but there was also a folder in mine that you didn't have

This is exactly what it did to me, but this is literally the steps I took and got it to run this way. You can try running a game parameter and see if that works but whenever I used one it simply wouldn't load.
Moddin IS ALWAYS a pain in the arsz. It is why I ALWAYS recommend vanilla playthroughs. THIS is AN EXCEPTION as is is an expansion instead of an actual mod in ways.
