      I understand wanting a more natural solution, but I cant help but feel a little iffy that shes so quick to reject it. Antibiotics save lives. A lot of people would give anything to have the option to take them. Im not trying to say just because we have the option means we are obligated to take it of course. Its hard to explain. I think it’s when they give the vibe that medicine is unnatural and not pure etc. its fine if you dont want it but it being natural or not is totally irrelevant when you’re sick or dying from a treatable infection

I do think these individuals leaving the movement will overall be a positive thing. I don’t think these influencers considered that they not only harmed their own bodies, but pushed dangerous diets on their viewers for an extended period of time when they knew it made them feel horrible. It also frustrates me that these influencers fail to apologize for promoting these diets, and the impact it had on the health of their viewers. I feel that you are one of the few who is able to do this without taking someone down or belittling them because of their actions, or different beliefs. You are a perfect example of how you can disagree with someone on a very emotional subject and yet still be respectful. So thank you for that! It sucks that so many people who are promoting kindness for animals cannot do the same towards people. There is always a way to get your point across without attacking and this is it.

It is helpful to have videos like this and that others have done that explain some of the things not to do when you are vegan for those who are considering going vegan. I don't think we should tear people down, but when you are doing something that is dangerous, misleading, irresponsible, and profiting from it, you should be called out. Maybe not attacked, but called out on it so more people don't get deceived. I agree that leading by example is effective.

      From what I see (been vegan since 2014) the ones who don't remain vegan are usually the ones who over restrict their diet (raw foods, mostly salad, no industrialized products). The ones that stay just eat a variety of things and an actual balanced diet, rather than try to strive for maximum purity vibrations while taking instagram pictures on the beach with fruits or whatever.

    • @frncsk6488
      @frncsk6488 5 лет назад +12

      Five years and going strong! The thing that keeps me going is eating intuitively, meaning not restricting. I was miserable when I first transitioned into veganism because i was following this ‘clean eating’ raw vegan path mostly eating fruit/veg meals, and it led to me “cheating” with cheese here and there, because it’s simply not filling enough. Now I keep an eye on my protein but other than that, I eat what my body wants. Grains, beans, pasta, etc and always a lil dessert after dinner 🙂 I’m not afraid of processed food or “junk” because that’s what keeps me vegan- being able to find filling, satisfying vegan alternatives when I’m craving a certain flavor or savoriness. and, Daiya vegan mac n cheese is amazing, just sayin (-:

The whole argument is based on the fact that they are just sharing their personal transformations through life, this transition just being another one and explained by a very personal medical history to which very few people can relate. Plus today, I feel like it's difficult to react the "subjectivity power" argument "it s just how my body react or feels" or to the use of universal tropes like "we are all humans we all make mistakes" It is a hideous way to hide from collective responsability, what's" hurtful" to me is the cowardice. Quite honestly I can say diets like Elise's are the reason Im no longer vegan. I wanted to eat like Elise and took her health advice, when I finally stopped being vegan my diet had been garden burgers, melon, rice or pasta with salt & pepper, and toast. I was constantly in pain, and given later symptoms it was probably due to an iron deficiency. I was also pretty active at this time, some days biking up to 15mi. And I know people who want to be skinny will ignore the newer videos to take that old advice, it really would be better to remove & reupload them with a word of warning in an unlisted playlist if thier really serious about showing thier journey rather than profits.

    I'm an ex vegan. Been vegan for 2 years. Raw till 4 for three months. No B12, only spirulin and fruits that I didn't wash, because bacteria has B12, right? I was so stupid. After that, my parents took me to a nutritionist and forbidden me to be vegan, made me eat a little meat. I used to hid animal products in my panties and then feed stray cats and dogs. I went to college. I spend my money on stuff that teenagers spend money on and thought that the only way to be vegan was high carb. I didn't eat legumes because I thought they didn't have enough nutrients or the ones I needed. I used to have so little energy that I couldn't even go up some stairs.. I had muscle problems. Ate meat for the first time again after a big party that lasted 5 days. Now I have a specific nerve I don't feel comfortable talking about, degenerating. If only I knew there was another way to be vegan!!!! Now I am too scared to be one, but I am still doing things vegans do and I am still buying vegan stuff. I care about the environment, I am not using plastic, I talk to people about veganism.. everyone knows me as the health maniac, the veggies lover and the recycling maniac. :)

    I started watching Raw Alignment when I was very depressed and at one point was eating a raw diet and was loosing weight etc had no energy then my mom was like “Amanda you need to eat actual food “ and this woke me up. Shortly after I realized that was the problem. You can be vegan and be healthy. But you can’t be healthy off of fruit and lettuce. And promoting these diets can be really dangerous. Especially in today’s society where we are trying to paint a pretty picture for everyone. Look at me I’m skinny and only eat fruit and salad and I’m so happy. I do feel these channels and fully raw Kristina do more harm actually only harm then any good. And they give vegans a bad name. When I’m sick I go to the doctor. I also live in a very liberal area. Great vegan restaurants but so many vegans that instead of going to the doctor when they are sick do a juice cleanse. I could keep going but we all get the point. Love your videos 💕
