Why do you think so many players play the worse build? (dragon pulse that is)
the healing (atleast that what my friend said whenever i told him to try muddy water)
Goodra players most of them use dragon pulse and power whip
It’s flashier. Being able to heal yourself to full health when you’re almost at 0 makes the build feel OP.
I dont think its so much a worse build as it is the most popular with bad goodra players
Even people playing mons with dashes don't dodge dragon pulse so it's just free healing and dmg.
Muddy Water and Acid Spray is my favorite build
Acid spray is one hell of an underrated move since it helps you lock onto opponents and can provide you with a dash
I think both are good. Acid Spray against melees, Whip against ranged.
I think the thing that make this build secretly OP is because of the AoE effect & the mechanic of Muddy Water, while you can accept that Dragon Pulse have healings for survival, it is kinda easy to mess up or miss the move.
Unless the Goodra is on your enemy team, if that happens your teammates just run into it
the thing make this build looks op is cris, if I play with it will looks terrible lol

I think people play pulse more often because frankly your own teamm aren't to be trusted so being able to heal yourself somewhat consistently is a huge boon it's just most supports don't support or pick a none healing one so muddy water feels a bit lackluster without like a consistent teammate like in duos or trios
I only play goodra with muddy water/acid spray at this point. It doesn't look as impressive at the end of the match score screen since the damage muddy water mitigates doesn't show up on the board, but reducing the enemy's damage AND getting a huge defense boost really adds a lot to your survivability.
Compared to missing one dragon pulse and dying instantly, muddy is just way more consistent.
Cris is out here gaslighting the unite community 😂. I always prefer Acid spray because of the stun potential. Even back when people saying Acid spray was a glorified tackle.

The slow on Acid Spray shuts Dodrio down so hard
The sustain with dragon pulse is amazing if there’s no healer

I've known this build for so long. I almost always use this build when i use Goodra (every day)
Muddy Water is definitely better than Dragon Pulse, even without a healer in your team

You know, the Goodra Dragon Pulse build isn't that bad, but it's not as good as Muddy Water, Dragon Pulse has longer cooldown and the cursed items(I forgot the names) just makes it useless

Biggest mistake you can do as a dodrio is attack a goodra
You hate all the pop in mons? Dodrio, Talon, Eevees. Acid spray them the second they pop in, now they are yours to kill
I have fallen in love with playing Rapid on Goodra
Especially with this moveset
I just have resets for days and it makes the build that much better since you get stuns and damage reduction and increased defenses

The pick rate of Acid Spray and Muddy Water is so low it's not statistically representative. I would consider having a look at Muddy Water and Power Whip instead
People prefer dragon pulse because of the amount of healing. They also don't feel that muddy water does that much damage
Enemy Zeraora has a learning deficiency
This is the only goodra build I play since its release. Idk why so many people sleep on it, its much better
As Goodra came out i was ONLY using Muddy Water and Acid Spray. and i refused to use Dragon Pulse.
But that was as Muddy water was so broken and Dragon pulse was so weak compared with it.
Why playing dragon pulse now?
Because of the big amount of heal.
Especialy with all those troll teams around...with 4 attackers and/or 4 speedster and no allrounder or no support character.
And no matter how hard i try building my goodra into muddy water build...it allways loses soooo easily in teamfights.
With dragon puls i can hold through until my team arives.

i fought a muddy water Goodra with comfey using sweet kiss. we got 2v5'ed. Goodra is so broken
I like the slow on acid spray.
I think the community greatly undervalues the potential of this Pokémon, honestly, I think it deserves a buff to open up that potential more, but not to leave it broken, but to really leave it strong
It doesn’t need a buff, let it stay strong and underrated so I can keep getting 100k damage games without it being nerfed :)

No buffs needed i guess you could increase the width of dragon pulse so enemies get in the center more often
i feel like hes squishy with the items , maybe focus band or aeos cookie instead of muscle band?
Cris just likes the carry builds since most of his random teammates have always been unreliable
1,000+ defense and sp defense is considered squishy
I don't understand how to play Muddy Water. Why is this move so much better in terms of winrate than Dragon Pulse, which gives Goodra a lot of recovery?
Muddy water is easier to land, multi-use, gives large defense boosts, and you can move while casting it.
First and foremost, it’s significantly easier to play this build than dragon pulse.
In this speedster heavy meta it is much harder to consistently land dragon pulse and even when you do the healing can’t counteract all the burst damage being done.
Muddy water on the other hand is an aoe that surrounds you and not only does it do decent damage, but it also lowers the damage taken, and additionally it increases goodra’s def and sp def which you can stack up to four times. So this build is much more forgiving and makes you a crazy tank that can front line for your team. Throw a healing support like Comfey on this mon and it becomes borderline unkillable.
As for how to play it, it’s pretty simple.
Engage with acid spray or displace with power whip, muddy water, and then keep auto attacking until muddy water comes back up. It’s important to keep your muddy water stacks up so you become super tanky. And once your health goes low, run to a bush and heal up a bit and then re-engage.

Its funny that most players think dragon pulse makes you immortal though it might be for a moment Pokemon that can outrange goodra or when its up against any evees its pretty much impossible to even get the healing that they think about

I use the hybrid acid spray+ pulse
As a Goodra main I can tell you dragon pulse is garbage. If you get stunned it cancels, you can’t heal off wild pokemon. Move is trash

Yeah, if the enemy are dumb enough to stack in the blast, but after being around so long, it’s very easy to dodge/predict
yeah this only works if your enemies are stupid and stay in the center of dragon pulse

Me using Dragon Pulse and Power Whip: meh
Dragon pulse is a very bad move tbh. I get the appeal that it heals but it doesn’t even do good damage and if you get cced it gets canceled. Plus Goodra healing doesn’t matter because it normally gets jumped. Muddy water is better
@@JiosLife healing just seems to make goodra unbeatable, and that's how I duel with all rounders and speedsters
Well Muddy Water is performing better than Dragon Pulse and that's a fact. Both Dragon builds have a -50% WR, meanwhile both Muddy builds have a +50% WR. Let me explain why.
Dragon Pulse is easily one of the most overrated moves in the game lol. It's only good if you play against players that have no idea how to deal with Dragon Pulse but those who simply move around the projectile and/or just cancel it with cc can exploit it's weaknesses with ease. On paper it looks broken but in reality it's such an easy move to counter

I only saw 1 person use muddy water throughout my entire gameplay experience, the others (including me) use dragon pulse
@@Gurkan790 alright I tried muddy water, got 70k dmg with 1 kill and 15 assists in a 3 speedster team(yes), guess the move isn't bad
Edit: played 3 rounds of muddy water and acid spray with 0% win rate, I conclude that my teammates are bullshits
