Experimenting with Codebreaker 9.2 on a PS2 HDD

here, we check out codebreaker for the ps2. it's on the hard drive I bought. only issue is, it's designed to boot up to OPL after launching a game from codebreaker. is there any way to bypass OPL so i can play any disc? instead it loads the hard drive. the cheats work mostly, but you can only play disc copies of the games on the hard drive. if the hard drive doesn't have the game, it won't play.
