I just randomly looked up this game about a month ago when I was watching Markiplier's "Move Or Die" gameplay video because the thumbnail art reminded me of the characters from Disney Universe for some reason.

I remember around the time this game was coming out while working at GameStop and this damn “suit up” song would become grating during the shift. Now it’s forever stuck in my head.

I think this looks surprisingly good, also that song is fricken awesome! Hopefully this isn't a LBP rip like people are saying cause this looks to have a LOT of potential.

When I heard the title "Disney Universe," I got excited because I thought about the game of my dreams. A MMORPG taking place in a world inhabited by Disney characters. And not that Toontown Online nonsense, I'm talking about classic characters. Even if it wouldn't be multiplayer, I would have lived to play in that world.
And then I saw what Disney Universe really is by watching this trailer. And a single tear slid down my cheek.

I've never seen disney fail in anything they try to accomplish. I won't be surprised if this is amazing. Remember, Disney did do Kingdom Hearts, which back in the day, was the best game ever.

Yeah, exactly. And a game called 'Disney Universe' should be awesome, but instead, it's laziness. I've actually been writing down some ideas, and there would be fully voiced cutscenes, online, an unlockable new quest, and even a cool feature where you could disband your team to tackle certain missions, each one displaying the minimum number of characters required. So you could have Jack Sparrow and Buzz do one mission, and Jack Skellington and TRON do another.

can anybody tell me what this game is about? like what you have to do? because this trailer doesn't really tell anything about the game
dineth liyanage I played it it was a normal world but its evil now so you gave to, like do levels intill the end.
Disney Universe (in the game's lore, not the game itself) is some sort of Disney Movie Simulator, you're welcomed by JARVIS who introduces you to the entire concept of Disney BT Infinity Broadband. The robots in DU (who are supposed to immerse you, I guess) are taken over by Skynet and you have to go aroun the worlds of WALL.E, Monsters Inc, Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton one), Pirates of the Caribbean (On Stranger Tides, specifically), and Aladdin to stop them. This came out 4 years ago so I won't care about spoilers. The game ends with Skynet singing a rock cover of what I like to call "The happy doll boat ride song that must not be named". It's basically a Disney themed 3D platformer with a selection of cosplayers who can only be generously called characters. It's an OK game.

When I get this game, I am only buying it at Kmart. No Walmart, Target, or Best Buy. Kmart only.
Apperntly, there will be 40 characters.
I hope the game has these characters: Mike, Stitch, TRON Suit, Alice, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Woody, Buzz, Phineas, Ferb, and Timon. I can't think of anymore.
This probably won't even be a good game, but we'll see at E3.
I would say it is in the same category. Well.. lets put it this way, if you thought little big planet was a little too hard, and you wanted to play an easier game, you would play this one.
Each level is split into 3 groups and each group is into 3 levels, so there is about 10 minutes of game play per movie. There are basically no good DLCs, they are all super short... So if you want a little something to play that is super cute, or if you want to play with a little kid... I would recommend it.
At 1:06 when he started pointing it reminded me of Little Big Planet

There is no Mulan DLC, no official announcement. There are only Muppets, Daisy & some insect guy, Phineas & Ferb, Nightmare before Christmas, Disney Villans, Jungle Book, and store exclusives (Zazu, Prince Ali, Captin Hook, ect.).
But I do agree that they should make one (although I want a Bambi, Toy Story, or Tarzan dlc more).
@kevinbognot No. Disney Interactive didn't even touch the game. And I'll use caps when I want to, thanks. And the whole game doesn't revolve around Disney it revolves around Sora trying to find Riku and Organization 13's plot. It also has to deal with Marluxia and how he tried to betray the organization, Roxas's background, Namine's background,and Xemnas/Xehanort in general.

OK, let`s see if i got it right. you control small blue imp`s that when wearing a costume, gets the power of the character (stitch suit-stitch powers). you`re supposed to save the universe from a bunch of red stick-man like baddies and save the world with your family as allies. sounds like a combo of new super mario bros and little big planet

Kingdom hearts is made by disney but these uses disney cartoons and movies and Kingdom hearts was mainly a collection of movies and cartoons aswell

@EpicFailSoundsGay only the arcade shooting levels and the birds eye view racing levels, the platforming (going from point A to point B) is 2D.

I agree, it sucks that there is no health meter. Sometimes I'll go around collecting hearts, and then get hit once right after and die. I bought it on PSN so I don't have any instruction book for what all the pick-ups are.
I purchased this game today (particularly for my girlfriend). When i saw the trailer while standing in gamestop, i thought that it looked rather lame. After playing for a little while i can honestly say that i love this game. This game makes me feel like i can still pop in a new game and feel like i am still playing games like: Crash bandicoot, spyro, ratchet & clank etc. Although it may not be very much like any of these games, it is a breath of fresh air from FPS and modern war games.

@demonnogo You're tryna tell me that with Mickey involved, that Disney wasn't part of the production at the very least. Square Enix teamed up with Disney's Interactive Studios in order to make Kingdom Hearts. The whole game revovles around Disney and their stories. This game is also about Disney's stories and combining them, just like Kingdom Hearts. I'm sure Disney is getting help from somewhere again. Lay low on the caps lock, it's just a youtube comment.

@demonnogo To be honest. Disney as a publisher has the final word on what goes into the game. After all. They are the ones paying for the product. The developers come up with the game and pitch it for the publisher.
@demonnogo Riighht Disney didn't touch Kingdom Hearts. Says the characters in the game. It's a collaboration. When you turn on the game it has the Disney logo, then the Square Enix logo. It's like when you see a Call of Duty for example. The game is owned by Activision, and it's up to them to say if the game is good enough to be published and what needs to be better and what not, then Infinity Ward or Treyarch works on it. I said Disney did kingdom hearts, not make it, they were part of it
the big hook with this game is the 4 player co-op mode.
