This Superman IV script with postproduction notes is pretty amazing. It sure have important information about how it was originally intended to be edited
I can almost bet that this bust of Christopher Reeve was used during the scene when Superman enters the underground tunnel to Lex Luthor’s lair when Superman runs through Lex’s gauntlet. The bust was used during the close up scene of Superman’s face when he was frozen solid from the freezing attack right before he gets to the end and busts through Lex’s front door.
Could the eyeless head piece been used for “heat vision” SFX shoots? Would they have superimposed the master shoot over the head for alignment? Very impressive no matter the purpose.
