Hockey Jerseys are the most bestest and greatest piece of athletic wear that a fan can ever rock, out in public! My collection is small compared to yours, but does include, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Indians! Batman, 80's CCM Blackhawks, Home and away Starter Sharks, NJ Devils, an old school LA Kings CCM with fight strap, and others. Always loved rolling out in public with my jerseys!
The ccm classics are still going. They're being re-released in chest sizing with an added fight strap. SportsK has a few Gretzky ones and the united center store has 60's style hawks. This may explain why full moon has been listing so many from this line
I love the CCM Vintage series. You can usually find some very good prices for player jerseys on eBay -- some as low as $50-60. The numbers and logo are stitched on instead of pressed on, and they look terrific. Great video!
Thanks for the tip! I live way far away in California but...I'm actually planning to come to Montreal next Oct/Nov. I'll make extra room in my luggage!
Kohos were indeed on darks which were the aways and on thirds and CCMs were home whites when the contract with THC (The Hockey Company) was signed in I believe '98. The logic was that both brands would be worn every game with a team wearing each brand. The refs wore Jofa which was the other THC brand. For some games it ended up just being KOHOs though as the Leafs 3rd were light but still branded as KOHOs.
Back around 1988 (I was nine), my father came Home one day with a real jersey from a Bruins journeyman named Greg Hawgood. It was a jersey that he wore during preseason games, had a fighting strap and everything. My family was friends with the owner of the security company that was in charge of security at the old Boston garden so I got that jersey and a real stick. Both of which I still have to this day. The stitching and construction of the jersey is something that I've never seen in any jersey that's been sold at a retail store and it's heavy as hell. I guess I got spoiled getting something like that as my first Bruins sweater, anything since then just feels really cheap to me
The first jersey I ever had I bought myself with paper route money and it was a Koho Naslund 3rd jersey with the red/blue fade. This video brought back a lot of memories!
This was a fun video. I played youth hockey in the 90s and recently got baxk into Jersey collecting, picked up a Reebok edge and it was like a whole new world lol
I was very sad to see my hawks jersey have those crummy plastic patches when I paid full price on the NHL store. Felt very ripped off. Looks like the Adidas jerseys are better quality. Will have to get a new Hawks jersey soon.
I thought I was alone with my 50 or so collection,, so glad my son turned me on to your channel for all things jersey related! Thoughts on the WHL Vancouver Giants jersey, is the burgundy and or black away not the sharpest in the the Dub?
I love when you do jersey videos!! I have about 7 Adidas and I love them, but I have no problem with Reebox replicas for the price i'm getting them off fanatics. I can't wait for 3rd jerseys next year.
I'm fortunate to have 3 Reebok Authentic Blackhawks Jerseys ( type worn by players) and was considering to buy an AdiZero, but nervous about it. Thanks for the clarity.
(N)ice stuff ;) One thing to think about when going hunting for hockey jerseys is that all of these different brands often have a replica and a authentic version of the jersey in question, and they are of course different. Some replicas are more nicer than others, but for the most part I don't get them because I love the authentics too much :)
I've personally been looking for Pro Player replicas because they were made for the 1 year & I personally found it to be comfier than the CCM's that I owned.
yes ... my personal favorite of them all ... was the Pro-Player jersey. I found that they were great quality and a very nice soft durable fabric .. and .. sewn on chest patches and shoulder patches. Too bad they went out of business as they were SO nice.
my fav jerseys in my collection are king shield new leaf logo jersey and flyers resses orange with tiger stripe and st blues with the KD blue and yellow white with the marge simpson note
I highly recommend you acquire a vintage game worn jersey, Shannon. I own six vintage game worn Capitals jerseys from years 1988-1995 and receive compliments when I wear them at the Caps' annual visit to Staples Center, especially from older fans and enthusiasts. I currently own 3 Beaupres, 2 Juneaus, and a Carey. Several came with team letters or MeiGray paperwork; however, most teams did not offer LOAs in the 80s-90s era with their game jerseys. Capsjerseys.com, Meigray.com, Gameworn.net and gamewornauctions.net are a few excellent resources to gain knowledge about the history of jersey tagging and photo-matching of jerseys to their players during actual games. It's a wonderful feeling to own an actual worn piece of vintage NHL and team history.
I just got three new jerseys over the past two weeks: a Fanatics Pittsburgh 2023 Winter Classic jersey, a customized Pittsburgh away Fanatics jersey from my sister for Christmas, and an Adidas Reverse Retro 2.0 Pittsburgh jersey (yes, hardcore Pens fan here). And what I have to say is I actually love that the Fanatics jerseys come in bigger sizes and they fit me so well. I wear a 4XL jersey in the Fanatics branded ones and I love how comfortable they keep me. My only Adidas jersey is my reverse retro in a size 60. And while it still fits nicely, the quality in my opinion isn't the best. I washed it first thing when I got it yesterday and after one wash some of the beak on the robopen started coming undone. Thankfully fabric glue fixed it, but that's not a good look for a top of the line product.
I hate the fact that ccm can't make the throwback jerseys anymore since Adidas sold them the vintage series was so cool and there were a lot more that still could have been added to the line
Shannon gets a lot of jerseys through this guy www.ebaystores.com/Hockey-Jerseys-For-You I just got two jerseys through Ben and they were great. Email him first and he can get 10% off ben.hoogenband@yahoo.ca
I love the adidas jersey more than any other jersey they may be pricey but if you find a good deal it’s well worth it cause they’re beautiful! Especially that wild jersey
Didn't even watch yet. CCM pro jerseys were the ultimate, hands down. I had them all. Nice full cut as opposed to the fugly "skinny jerseys" with shirt tales.
I got a Bruins Adidas jersey from the team store. It's really nice, except the stitching has started to come lose to the point where I'm afraid to wear it. Also, I kept telling people to not buy anything off eBay if they wanted to get me a jersey. I'd rather have a quality jersey that looks and feels good than a bunch of fakes that are uncomfortable. Honestly, I would love to just tell them all to pitch in and get a jersey that's from all of them, if they wanted to get me one.
Got a Fanatics Lightning which I like. The Red Wing one isn’t as nice because of the logo. Best thing about Fanatics is they’re really comfortable. I don’t really look at them as jerseys though
I still prefer a jersey made in Canada. Interesting enough the NHL actual players adidas are made in Canada but not available to the public only the authentic made in Indonesia are.
I want to see when the on ice start to trickle into the market. Since buying the Edge 2.0 in the Canucks home and alternate jersey's I've said no to buying the premier and adizero fan jersey's.
I remember when Detroit used Koho at home and CCM on the road. I don't know if other teams did that. The one thing I was pleasantly surprised about Fanatics was that they didn't put horrible arched nameplates on the Detroit jerseys, BUT, you can tell the lettering is a lot different than true Adidas. I couldn't bring myself to buy a Larkin because the lettering looked so tiny.
That first sweater you have is a CCM Series 550 (I believe that is the grain/weight # of the fabric). The logos were indeed smaller on the 550s. The authentics were the CCM Series 6100 (again, fabric g/w #, but not 100% on that) and those logos were actually about 10-15% larger. Why? Just to differentiate them from the Series 6100, I guess. So, as the numbers suggest, the 550s were of a lighter, non-game weight. Series 6100s had that heavier, tougher, more dense fabric that made it durable for game use. It was the exact same weight and specification as on-ice, team worn sweaters. CCM would select which ones to send to the teams, and which to send to retailers for public sale. Those were the original Center Ice/Mise Aujeu Collection. The 90s was a heyday for these sweaters. It's when there were less imitations, and the Chinese reproductions were unleashed on the collector world. Anyway, back to the series 550/6100. There were three fabrics used, with proprietary names-Ultrafil, Air-Knit, and Air-Mesh. All were polyester synthetic. Each team decided what they wanted to use. The mix was about half and half. The only one to use Air-Mesh, however, were the Rangers. Why? Because they wanted to. Man, I just wrote a novel...I'll stop, unless anyone wants more info.
Huoh, I feel a bit bad about having a fanatics now, but ill still enjoy what I got, wear it less, and get a better one next time. Really hope some teams restock the reverse retros when I have money
Has anybody else noticed how high the stripes are around the waist of the Fanatics jerseys or is it just me? If you’ve not noticed, look at an Adidas and Fanatics side by side. You’ll never unsee it and because of this, I’ll never buy a Fanatics fake.
I’m UK based and the price difference between authentic and fanatics jerseys is even more - almost £100. Given that we also struggle to find suppliers of older jerseys, fanatics are the only option for many people. Plus, compared to the jerseys our domestic teams wear, the fanatics are far better than those 😂
Game worns are miles better than retail authentics & replicas. More so since Reebok first took over the jerseys and the same rings true with Adidas. And in some cases, you can get a game worn of a no name player cheaper than a blank authentic and even replicas of Reebok and Adidas.
The Hockey Guy oh okay thank you!! I can only find 52’s so that would probably be too big I’m guessing. Also,we’re the reebok authentics the real on ice stuff or Are they like adidas where they are not? I’m new to hockey jerseys so I’m still learning.
I'm a crazy jersey collector too I would love to take a couple pics of my closet and send them to your channel or your fb page I think you'd be impressed plus I have a couple totes with older jerseys in them from when I first started my collection
The fanatics Blackhawks half of the face is embroidered and the other half is printed. Shannon if u could find one and u see it, you'll see its worse than the bruins if that's even possible
Just wondering if you like the Adidas or the Reebok Authentics better. Trying to decide if I should get an Avalanche (my favorite team) jersey in Reebok or Adidas. Is the Adidas really worth the extra money?
Well, if it's an authentic, Reeboks are still relatively pricey. Reeboks seem to be a little stronger, Adidas are lighter. I lean towards Adidas for the better logos though.
Thanks. I saw a Reebok on eBay for $90. I also saw a Duchene jersey for $80-90 but don't know how comfortable I feel stripping it. FYI, Ice Jerseys is $50 off a $155 USD plus order until Wednesday at noon. Cool Hockey is 30% off an order $200+ USD in a Back to School sale.
I'm calling it right now. In 2024 the NHL is going to reach a jersey deal with Nike for 8 seasons that will kickstart in 2025-26 season. Somebody screenshot this and make it your phone background.
don't care about materials, only care about how it fit in you, i saw adidas jersey in the official website, even the models(with perfect body) couldn’t make it look good in 'em, but in Reebok damn! those players looks so handsome.
You’re the play-by-play, she’s the color commentator
All that matters folks is we never let the jersies have ads on them. Euro teams look awful and soccer/football teams as well look crappy
Lebron James Jr Yeah I wouldn't bet against them. No one looks like a challenge
michael debolt futbol ads look nice actually, because there is usually only one big ad
michael debolt - I agree, I saw Mikko Rantanen Finland Jersey it looked like a billboard.
It’s coming in a year or two. I read it somewhere. Professional sports=advertisement. I totally despise it.
Right
Really glad I watched this. Def not getting a Fanatics. Yikes
Just bought a Vegas Adidas jersey....it is an absolute beauty of a jersey.

Twisted Wrister Hockey here in thrift shops in Montreal, they are like 15 to 25, the most expensive being the hubs one
Thanks for the tip! I live way far away in California but...I'm actually planning to come to Montreal next Oct/Nov. I'll make extra room in my luggage!
I love the 550 vintage hockey series a ton. Are you sure about the logo being stitched? Because mine are pressed on.
CCM always made very quality stuff.
All my ccm jerserys are holding up great.
I agree. I have an old hand-me-down Sharks jersey I got from my uncle and it still looks pretty darn good
I still got my koho Theodore jersey .. I think Koho logos were on Homes which were the darks back then and CCM seemed to always be on the whites .
I think your right
Kohos were indeed on darks which were the aways and on thirds and CCMs were home whites when the contract with THC (The Hockey Company) was signed in I believe '98. The logic was that both brands would be worn every game with a team wearing each brand. The refs wore Jofa which was the other THC brand.

I personally love my new adidas Bolts jersey.
I’ve got that white Starter Coyote jersey too but it has the Goals for Kids patch on one shoulder
i love the authentic ccm/maska ultrafil jersey's from the 80's - early 90's. they were thick, heavy and durable.
Thanks for this THG! Really get to see the differences and can make the decision making process easier for us.
Adidas could do the throwback jerseys instead of CCM, since Adidas did the ‘hardwood classic’ line for the NBA.
RJ Pugs if Adidas were to do the vintage jerseys I would hope they would keep them as close to the ccm ones as possible
I hate how Adidas made the collar look like a toliet seat in
Of the few different jerseys I have I really like the feel of the fabric of the ccm masks jerseys, something about those was just super comfy
This was a fun video. I played youth hockey in the 90s and recently got baxk into Jersey collecting, picked up a Reebok edge and it was like a whole new world lol
I have a Thrashers alternate and Green Coyotes alternate (the one with the cacti on the bottom) in ProPlayer. Super heavy jerseys.
Damn ordered the fanatics golden knights shirt, immediately canceled the order after the vid.
Man,Yvonne has evolved since 2018, keep up the good work
Quite right about the running shoe look, wow.
Adidas even owns reebok
I LOVE my CCM 550 Vintage hockey series Avs jerseys.
Oooo... that embroidering on the Blackhawks jersey looks sweet.

Amazing in person
RJ Umlas oh, that's really neat
Another great video . Love the passion you have for sweaters ! 👍🏻
I was very sad to see my hawks jersey have those crummy plastic patches when I paid full price on the NHL store. Felt very ripped off. Looks like the Adidas jerseys are better quality. Will have to get a new Hawks jersey soon.
michael debolt I prefer coolhockey over shop nhl. They hand stitch instead of heat pressing and coupon codes galore to save money
Koho to me was the best made
D. Tunney my koho jerseys from 15 years ago are holding up great.
I have the black and red Sabres jersey from the early 2000’s. It has held up so well.
Koho is CCM
Trying to get those 90’s pens jerseys. Some of my favorites (even though they were before my time)
21:27 lmao I can't unsee it. Thanks for the heads up on the fanatics jerseys.
The funny thing is they market the fanatics jerseys as having special "non-bending logos" on the chest and shoulders haha
I thought I was alone with my 50 or so collection,, so glad my son turned me on to your channel for all things jersey related! Thoughts on the WHL Vancouver Giants jersey, is the burgundy and or black away not the sharpest in the the Dub?
Love all your videos man! Keep talking about Anaheim please!
I have a Dallas Stats Reebok replica jersey and I hate how that metallic fabric shreds
I love when you do jersey videos!! I have about 7 Adidas and I love them, but I have no problem with Reebox replicas for the price i'm getting them off fanatics. I can't wait for 3rd jerseys next year.
Robert Santos make a jersey collection video!
I'm fortunate to have 3 Reebok Authentic Blackhawks Jerseys ( type worn by players) and was considering to buy an AdiZero, but nervous about it. Thanks for the clarity.
(N)ice stuff ;)

Canes select Andrei Svechnikov.
The thing you didn’t mention on the VGK Fanatics vs Adidas is that the logos are different sizes. It bothers me at games.
The gray bar on your Reebok you call replica is a premire jersey. Fells like a authentic but no fight strap.

Any good website recommendations for CCM/Koho Jerseys? They’re my favorite. (Red Wings)
my fav jerseys in my collection are king shield new leaf logo jersey and flyers resses orange with tiger stripe and st blues with the KD blue and yellow white with the marge simpson note
Shannon, do you know where I could find an extra tie down string? I have a early 2000's leafs white ccm throwback, without the neck string.
Wouldn't any shoelace work?
I highly recommend you acquire a vintage game worn jersey, Shannon. souliisole damn 3 Don Beaupres. Save one for me. 🤯
I want to get my Vegas one. How big is the difference between fanatics and addidas?
I just got three new jerseys over the past two weeks: a Fanatics Pittsburgh 2023 Winter Classic jersey, a customized Pittsburgh away Fanatics jersey from my sister for Christmas, and an Adidas Reverse Retro 2.0 Pittsburgh jersey (yes, hardcore Pens fan here). I wear a 3xl in Adidas. Would I still wear a 3xl in Reebok and CCM and fanatics to?
Is there an online store where you can get the throwback CCM jerseys
Shannon gets a lot of jerseys through this guy www.ebaystores.com/Hockey-Jerseys-For-You
I just got two jerseys through Ben and they were great. Email him first and he can get 10% off ben.hoogenband@yahoo.ca
I love the history an every little detail u saying an wen u guys started from the 90s fantasy 👌
My opinion and I am showing my age a little bit but CCM made the best authentic jerseys. Very high quality.
As of the 2017-2018 season, CCM still had a jersey contract with the AHL
Still do
I like the jersey option for the video i received a green nidereiter adidas for Christmas
Wow, I hadnt heard of fanatics before. I will be sure to avoid.
Thanks for the heads up.
Your wife is cool as he'll! She was great on this video!
paulmd2010 ahh, thanks.
You wore, wild Jersey! Yayyyy 😍
Toxic kitten I assume u wild fan 😀
As a player Love the shoulders on the adidas it allows air to flow which cools you down significantly when wearing pads.
Has the sizes change over time? Does starter and Reebok fit the same?
That Coyotes jersey looks like someone that I used to know.
I hope the Adidas jerseys get reduced in price during the offseason.
Between CCM, Koho, and Starter which jersey is made the best (quality) in your opinion????
Great video! but you forgot Sandow and Nike
Got a Fanatics Lightning which I like. The Red Wing one isn’t as nice because of the logo. Best thing about Fanatics is they’re really comfortable. I don’t really look at them as jerseys though
In the late 90s nike and Bayer also made Jerseys I had a girlfriend who had a nike lindros Jersey I still have a bauer Philadelphia phantoms Jersey
It’s too hot in Vegas to wear a jersey most of the year...
TheQueenSpider I haven't worn either of mine since like early march...
Wouldn’t say that. It gets cold November-feb
I still prefer a jersey made in Canada. Interesting enough the NHL actual players adidas are made in Canada but not available to the public only the authentic made in Indonesia are.

@@fantasticvoyage262 the wings don’t use them. The letters go right on the jersey.
That first sweater you have is a CCM Series 550 (I believe that is the grain/weight # of the fabric). The logos were indeed smaller on the 550s. That Koho one looks like a goalie jersey. I have an authentic reebok for the Flames and it gets frayed to shit. I'm really happy with the adidas ones.
I like that New York one
I’m UK based and the price difference between authentic and fanatics jerseys is even more - almost £100. Given that we also struggle to find suppliers of older jerseys, fanatics are the only option for many people. Plus, compared to the jerseys our domestic teams wear, the fanatics are far better than those 😂
Do you have any of the Nike NHL jerseys from the late 90s? It seems those are super rare to come by, especially for one that is not a counterfeit.
Nope, not one.
I have a Lindros Nike and it's one of my favorites. Great jerseys.
I got a Detroit Shanahan Nike jersey a couple months back
I remember when Pro Player made the Penguins jerseys
Game worns are miles better than retail authentics & replicas. More so since Reebok first took over the jerseys and the same rings true with Adidas. And in some cases, you can get a game worn of a no name player cheaper than a blank authentic and even replicas of Reebok and Adidas.
The Reebok Edge are my favorites.
I like the adidas too, but I hate the shoulder patches on top of the shoulders.
If I’m a 46 in the Adidas AdiZero what would I be in a Reebok authentic? I know that they size differently.
Reebok are a little bigger, not a ton. I would go with a 48 in Reebok, not sure they made a 46.
The Hockey Guy oh okay thank you!! I can only find 52’s so that would probably be too big I’m guessing. Also,we’re the reebok authentics the real on ice stuff or Are they like adidas where they are not? I’m new to hockey jerseys so I’m still learning.
How do you join the hockey guy’s discord server
I'm a crazy jersey collector too I would love to take a couple pics of my closet and send them to your channel or your fb page I think you'd be impressed plus I have a couple totes with older jerseys in them from when I first started my collection
Lawrence LaBrasca jersey collectors unite!
Yes there's all kinds of Jersey collectors out there
How much you want for the hawks jersey
The fanatics Blackhawks half of the face is embroidered and the other half is printed. Shannon if u could find one and u see it, you'll see its worse than the bruins if that's even possible
22:30... the hockey gal takes over and shines! you two are funny
What about Sandow SK jerseys?
Does anyone know the best way to remove two small blue stains from the letters of my fanatics breakaway Giroux jersey?
I can provide pictures if necessary.
What teams do you think will get third jerseys?
Irbe Starting Lineup top left 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do you know who supplies the KHL jerseys.
1111pyramids1111 Reebok
I'm calling it right now. In 2024 the NHL is going to reach a jersey deal with Nike for 8 seasons that will kickstart in 2025-26 season. Somebody screenshot this and make it your phone background.
Not quite.
Loved your explanation why you got so many jerseys! Haha! True but lmao
No alts this season makes this Jackets fan even sadder than usual.
I think we'd all be a lot happier if they made the Cannon jersey their default home sweater! That's one of my all-time favorites.
don't care about materials, only care about how it fit in you, i saw adidas jersey in the official website, even the models(with perfect body) couldn’t make it look good in 'em, but in Reebok damn! those players looks so handsome.
How much would you value your entire jersey collection if you had to (estimate)? I know this is probably a difficult question lol
No clue, none.
Over $1
GameStop would give him $36 for the whole collection
OasisSidhu95 😂
OasisSidhu95 Probably in store credit. They’d give him $20 cash haha
