In this Toppers Talk session, Rahul Bhatt, a Rau’s IAS GS Integrated 2015 batch student, shares his book-list and sources that helped him secure AIR 68 in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2017, in his second attempt.
Note : his emphasis on maximizing the learning outcomes from limited sources of study.

1. Sylabus from 2013 on each topic + past papers printout go through it first then u understand how questions asked.

Last 10 years Pre plus mains Previous Years papers, News paper, last 90 days 2 institute test series. Simple and honest strategy.

To be very honest I've seen so many IAS toppers videos and most of them seem so nervous, but, this sir just sounded like a born leader. No time pass stuff, no dragging of subject matter, no vague stories, to the point - sharp and precise.

It seems the class has been asked to stay after the classes, they all seemed to be drained out with little or no interest whatsoever. I saw one girl sitting on the first bench almost dozing off. (One major drawback of a coaching institution is majority of aspirants become drained out zombies who come daily out of habit plus for the sake of heavy amount of sum they have paid for it.)
Also what I want to say to all the aspirant who has come across this video and happen to stumble on this comment please register this in your head permanently to listen everyone and follow none - as your personality and way of doing things is on you only. The reason why I said this is that as Sir has been an alumni of this coaching and had the backing of respective faculties (you can see him mentioning one sir of economics), hence he is able to confidently mention so and so study material which may or may not work for a self preparing aspirant.
PS: A humble note to all the aspirants to not become handicapped at the disposal of these sort of videos where they go on asking simple questions related to where to NCERTs. I mean come on people let's atleast be armed enough to just go through these videos with all the possible resources handy or atleast having prior knowledge about CSE.

Strategy is not all about toppers approach but first and foremost thing is that try to find YOURSELF,whether your PERSONALITY is a personality which is the demand of upsc or are you ready to transform yourself entirely on the demand of socio-economics goals,objectives and demands of this country.Because cse is not only test of intellectual traits(strategy,study plan,sources etc)but also test your PERSONAL SUITABILITY of this SERVICE.

For economics portion he said the book of sanjiv verma but sanjiv verma passed away few years ago so who will re-edit that book and when will be the new edition released ? So that would be good for further CSE exams ?

Brother there are a lot of videos on RUclips related to this . In addition to this you can follow unacademy and various telegram channels related to upsc preparation . All the books are available online , even newspapers are available online . Some good channels on RUclips are : 1. Let's crack Upsc Cse , 2 : Delhi Knowledge Track , 3: Unacademy .
