There's an old book about this, many blacksmith stopped hitting the iron when they saw a veteran knight passing trough, because most of them had PTSD and they became shocked when they heard the iron's banging sound. Also, many retired knight was unable to sleep in the dark, because in war, they always feared that they will get ambushed in the middle of the night. They went to war as warriors, and returned as a person who never ever wanted to hurt anybody again, even not animals. Very sad.

The detail they put into these animations is so good. For a takedown that lasts just a second, the soldier looks you in the eyes. Then you see that look transition into a blank stare as the life drains out of them. They didn't have to make it as detailed as they did. But they did. This is when BF games still had life in them.
I come back to this vid just for the song. And it is totally creepy that the characters have that 1000 yard stare of death when you stab them. I hope we get the same kinda thing with bf1

I need to leave a comment about what this video means to me. Please read this. I first found this video when I was around 13, going thru changes that made me into who I am today. I hadn't been introduced into this kind of music before, and I happened upon this video by chance. When I was younger, I watched this for the first time and didn't understand the emotions that the video made me feel. I didn't even realize that the video was making me feel a certain way. I grew up and am an artistic person with an absolute affinity for music. Music is embedded in my soul. Music makes me daydream and create visuals in my head that I turn into art. I wouldn't be surprised if this video was the apex of my change into who I am today. I've also developed an attraction for masked figures and the military outfits; turning a normal person into just a pair of eyes that reveal who they are internally. The way that the men look at the person as he takes their life, and the helplessness that they feel, along with the music... there's something about it that I love. I come back to this video every year or so and rewatch it because it is something I will never forget. The person who made this video probably has no idea what an impact this has had on me when I watched it for the first time, but I want to say thank you. Even if none of what I just said makes sense

In BF1 melee animations are cool but so fast that it's difficult to look at the enemy's face when you kill him
