My apologies, I don't know where I can message you both and I don't want to hijack this post, but I can't help but say how excited I am. Today is my birthday and one of my children got me something I have been wanting for a very long time; a Tabieats "Sakuto" shirt. It's so soft and comfortable. I love it! My partner also ordered your Kokoro Cares box which will be arriving at a later date. I am so happy and just had to share my elation. 🥰🥳
I visited Kobe’s Chinatown in June 2023 at night after watching Shinichi’s Kobe Chinatown video on his channel. It was my first time visiting a Chinatown in Japan and it was very interesting experience, not what I’m used to compared to what we have in the San Francisco area where the community is predominately Southern China/HK Cantonese. I missed out on the butaman since there was such a crowd the following morning but it’s definitely on my try list. The food selection was also quite interesting with many stalls selling very similar style buns, Peking duck wrap (and those spinning Peking duck displays!), other dim sum. Since many of these shops and stalls are small I think it’s likely that they get all of their dim sum and steamed buns from the same distributor vs making things from scratch in-house. I could hear some of the street food vendors speak Mandarin and even Vietnamese. Probably the oddest thing I saw on the menu was mapo tofu - but served over noodles! I have never seen mapo tofu served like that. I recommend visiting in the day time. It’s much more bustling and I think the street food probably had better turnover. Something I ate there that night upset my stomach when I went in the evening and it was pretty quiet and fewer places opened. I would say definitely try the pudding (I got pudding at Kiyomi and the old couple running the shop were so sweet). I would probably skip things like the xlb on the streets - the skin was pretty thick and one vendor literally popped them in the microwave, and if you’re used to dim sum from a tea house you may want to skip the dim sum on the streets too.
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi good to see you Love these streets food walk enjoy see all the different delicious food yummie enjoy guys take care 😘😘❤️🤩😍🥰🙏🌈💯🌹🌹
All of those foods looked good. Yes, the pork bun. But the shrimp balls with crunchy croutons was so cute. Would be great to see Satoshi make a pumpkin pudding. You haven't done a cooking video in a while. Thanks for another fun video. Best to both of you in 2024!! Hello from Corvallis Oregon, US.
Aloha guys! We’ve been there three times. It’s one of those places we keep going back too because it is not possible to try everything we want to eat. One thing we always get is those cream puffs. So good! My favorite senbei shop is in the shopping arcade behind Chinatown. Great video guys. Happy New Year Shinichi and Satoshi.
I had my first nikoman at a street side vendor about 7am in morning, Nanning, China on my way to Pingxiang on a bus en route to Vietnam. Unforgettable and incredible!
Satoshi - why are you not making him pumpkin pudding?? I’d love to try this pudding. I have experience only with pumpkins from the US and Europe. I love pumpkin desserts and adore pumpkin tempura
Love, love, love this vlog! Brought back so many memories of the Chinatown area as my family and I lived in Kobe for 9 years. That shop selling the bao buns is so famous and I’d give anything to eat one right now! Thank you again for sharing some of your lives with us - take care and love from Australia ❤❤
Okay. You piqued my interest. How was the Kobe pudding? 😊 It looks like Kobe's Chinatown really is the place to go for Chinese street food in Japan. Thank you both for the tantalizing tour! 💙💙
The seasonal fig annin dofu looks delicious. I always like trying out both local and seasonal things when in Japan. I also would go for the fried gyoza and the shrimp balls. And the Kobe beef sushi!
I loved the Chinatown in Chicago, it's been awhile since I've been there but have good memories. I'd love to try that pork belly bao, it looked delicious. And I love fresh figs. My grandfather had a fig tree in his back yard and I'd eat figs right off it when I was a kid. That Almond Tofu pudding with figs was made think of that. I'd love to try that. Glad you guys had a good time.😊
Yes! The China Town in Chicago is awesome! Have you been to Joi Yee Noddle House? They have two locations and one has an amazing restaurant with a hot pot 🍲!
@@LatinaChef1986 I can't remember, it was a long time ago. We went to a couple really good restaurants while there though, it could have been one of them. If I ever go back I try it.😊
Hi guys! Happy New Year from Pee Wee and Princess Grizelda! (Jay and John) 🌈 A pottery / food tour please? We want to visit and purchase high-end pottery (up to $800) and also low-end (about $20). We like the history of the pottery studios and interviews. If you know places where there is nearby food / drinks can you share it with us all? 😋
I make my bao with chicken chives and a piece of egg...yes with seasonings. I don't make it with onions because i find that it spoils faster. Its the only way that i can eat a bao because im allergic to pork and beef
We went to this China town while we were in Kobe and there are a ton of food stalls but most of the food is just sitting out and many of the stalls sell the same kinds of things. Some of the food was ok but nothing was really good. Definitely go eat Kobe Beef at a steak restaurant while you’re in Kobe though. Definitely worth a day trip from Osaka.

I love his Japanese accent.
Japan is the best country in the world and Japanese food is the best in the world
Everything looked so good! But that first one looked amazing! I was wondering how the Kobe Pudding tasted, how was it?
Hope everyone is safe

Omg I'm so hungry right now
I just noticed at 14:40 on the shop window it's written "RESTRAUNT" instead of "RESTAURANT".
