The Friend at Midnight | Table Talk S06 E08

All of the parables of Jesus aim to reveal the goodness of God’s character. Some by comparison and others by contrast. Jesus told a story about a man waking his neighbor at midnight and asking for help, but the neighbor has to be persuaded. He is reluctant to help because he does not want to be bothered. By contrast, God is more than willing. He is eager to answer our prayers and to lavish blessings upon us.
