Calling people, even not blood related, “cousin” is a thing in Hawaii because of their strong feelings towards “Ohana” ;). (I think tourists greeters do it a lot to be friendly?) They’re like welcoming you into an extended family, a “we’re close” sort of endearment?? A, “we see you like family” thing. Don’t quote me. Point is, I wouldn’t take the “cousin” thing so literally. I’m surprised people don’t know/or haven’t heard of this cultural thing.

@@placid268 the Japanese version did not include the presence of Lilo, but when there was the first Western adaptation made in Australia the dialogues were modified, in some of which Lilo is mentioned, and some episodes were cut to remove scenes considered violent. As a result, Western countries purchased the Australian version and fans demanded an explanation for Lilo's absence. At that point the Japanese authors of the anime had to force her into the third season. The only country in which the anime is unpublished is the USA, which, after the airing of the first 5 episodes, asked for it to be suspended because they were dissatisfied with the way Stitch was written.
When I first saw Angel I din't know what her experiment number was until I saw an episode of the Stitch anime series where Jumba called her "Experiment 624"
I find the idea of Stitch and Angel in love a little strange depending on how you look at it. The experiments were created by the same scientist, which could be interpreted as them being siblings. The experiments call each other cousins, which may be interpreted literally, but can also just be seen as way of saying they belong together, which is the way it was used in the movie that started the plot of the series. Stitch and Angel seem to have many of the same features. There's no saying if the creatures they came from were closely related or just unrelated creatures of the same species. The last mentioned would be the least odd interpretation of it.
Everybody has...strong positive feelings towards her. Especially a lot of guys. She IS a hot little gremlin, and voiced by one of the current hottest voice actresses.
It's complicated, but the term cousin is loosely used by Stitch meaning their his friend and family like a friendly close ally, like how in Australia Mate means friend or acquaintance or buddy. Also things could be different in Tantalog culture like maybe experiments don't really see each other as siblings with even Disney Merchandise depicting Stitch and Angel as a Romantic Couple. Even Jumba is chill with it despite him being their father/creator, but again Tantalog culture likely views experiments differently than Earth.
The word "cousin" means something different in Hawaiian culture besides blood cousin. It basically means family (found or blood), or people you have that kind of affection for. Like how Australians use "mate" besides the sexual meaning, or Japanese use onii/onee-chan for specific age groups in.

This ship is weird, I don't like it. Besides the stereotypes of two exactly the same characters with blue and pink colors, she was evil, she was created by the same scientist (which makes them kind of like brothers), Stitch also considers them all as cousins.
I don't think romantic relationships are a good thing and I think this world would be a much better place without them. Most fathers and brothers hope that their daughter/sister never finds a partner and remain single for her whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships. It seems nearly all fathers and brothers don't ever want their daughter/sister to have a boyfriend/husband. The overprotective father/brother thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a better place without them. Most fathers and brothers seem to get upset whenever their daughter/sister dates someone, and that proves that romantic relationships are a bad thing. Being single is far safer than being in a romantic relationship. People (especially women) should avoid romantic relationships and be single.

..... their siblings.... they share the same father

The Stitch anime is not canon, it's a re-imagination of Stitch's story, so Angel is rewritten too.
True, but her frequent appearances is due to her growing popularity in Japan.
@jazzratoon I remeber this thing. Stitch and Angel are very popular in Japan.
Wasn’t it written to be a sequel to Lilo’s story?
