- In the Spring of 2018, Red Sun Rising went into the SiriusXM Studios to record an “Octane Unleaded” session for the second time in support of their sophomore record “Thread”, released March 30, 2018. The band joked with Octane host, Grant Random, about covering “She Drives Me Crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals. The Octane staff, intrigued by the idea, willed the band to perform the song live for the first time. They even printed out the lyric sheets. RSR quickly learned the song and played it for the first time ever. One take. Live. This is that recording. Enjoy.

great band. Its a shame they are no longer together
They're together. Theyre just called "the Violent" and changed their sound a bit.
yay
💗💗💗
I swear, Red Sun Rising can do no wrong! When are you guys coming back to Tucson, AZ?
Awesome guys! Always liked the acoustic stuff and covers you guys have done.
They usually do 3. 2 are acoustic versions of singles and 1 is usually an acoustic cover
Nice
Awesome cover! I would love to hear your take on Don’t Dream it’s Over by Crowded House.
Will you release the cover as a single?
Even you guys couldn't have made me like that song. lmao
jc1424 yes, this song blows no matter what
One of the worst songs of all time
I still can't handle it, guys. Sorry.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is one of the most amazing covers You ever heard you’re not listening to the song properly I guess
Liked them better as RSR instead of The Violent.
Covering this song while wearing a Badmotorfinger shirt lol
I know it's a bit disrespectful from me to say this, but I like more rock like songs. (I am not saying that this is bad or something, just my opinion)
@JW Stuff Clarity was good, but nothing else on Thread compared to the stuff on PZ. Very disappointing. Happens when great bands start to get popular. Look at Aerosmith. They never made another decent album after 1976's Rocks.
@@snowdevil7727 JW Stuff I see the points you are both trying to make, but I disagree. I think that the band did take Thread to another level and they did it knowingly. If a band sounded the same on every album, most fans would get bored. I personally love it when bands have different albums, different sounds. If you want the Polyester Zeal sound, listen to Polyester Zeal. I think Thread has tons of great songs ---some like Deathwish and Veins seem to be tailored toward radio play, which is awesome imo, and others like Stealing Life have deeper meaning, both for the guys in the band and for lots of fans, also awesome imo. The nice thing about rock is that there is usually something for everyone and we don't all have to like the same thing. I will say though that if you haven't seen RSR live yet, DO IT. They are amazing and full of energy in concert! You won't be disappointed. They are also about the nicest guys you can meet, if you get a chance to meet them. They truly appreciate their fans and it shows.
So much better than the original!
NOPE. That’s all I have to say. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
This lacks the energy and urgency of the original.
The falsetto doesn't help.
This cover is cool but lightweight to power of Roland Gift vocals.
