Perfect Timing album was my introduction to Robin..he was great in MSG as McAuley Schenker Group..we saw them live in Fort Lauderdale Florida in 1989 and met Michael Schenker..Bodo Schopf and Rocky Newton..After the show we were walking in back of Robin but I gave him his privacy..he seems like a great guy.😊❤🎉
Both times I've interviewed him he's been an absolute pleasure to chat with🤘🏻
Now come on! This interview is great. Robin is an unbelievable vocalist who actually sings Rock & Roll. Seems like a great guy as well. I see a lot of good coming his way!

Perfect Timing was the soundtrack to my ‘86 ‘87!
🤟😝 ‘I Don’t Wanna Lose’ is among the greatest song EVER! Just an absolute masterpiece. The kick pattern in the drum groove, the bass line and that guitar solo. In the chance Robin would see this, I’ll ‘fanboy’ (jus a lil) and tell ya I love all the MSG stuff but Perfect Timing has a special place in my heart! It lived up to its title in my world! Thank You. Btw ya still got it bro

What a great interview. Always been a fan of his, and so i realy enjoyed the stories about his journey in rock music. He really cares about being really good and giving the fans your all every time. Really enjoyed it.

Robin's new solo album is def at the top of my summer playlist. His band is tight, and it's like a fresh version of 80's hair metal. His vocals are as stunning as ever. After viewing this vid, I'd love to meet this man. He is such a positive guy, even after over 40 years in Rock!
Let's hope he's back on the road soon and we can see him rockin' the world again. Great vocalist, great guy.

Ive been a fan since the early 80s...
I discovered Robin when he joined Schenker. Many years later I realised the guy in "Gimme Your Love" was also the voice in "Shout" and "Johnny Don't Go The Distance" which I loved earlier in the 80's. Saw Robin perform in Rockvault in Vegas, a great live artist as well. Both Robin and Doug signed my t-shirt afterwards with SHOUT and FOREVERMORE... Super-nice guys both of them!🤘🎙🎶🎸

Great interview! I listened to "Say Goodbye" for the 1st time last night and it kicked off a Robin McAuley binge for the rest of my 3 hour drive. I just cannot believe how good he is. Experiencing his personality in this interview I am definitely a fan forever.

I was wondering about just that - did McAuley record something with Survivor? Would love to hear what he recorded with them!
Robin seems and sounds like an absolute professional rock vocalist. Seeing that Michael Schenker Fest and his involvement there seems to lessen (as I understand it Ronnie Romero is going to be the sole vocalist for upcoming MSG shows?), I would love to see him tour Europe (with an Oslo stop :D) with a solo band (and with Black Swan if that would ever be possible, of course)!
EXTREMELY excited for the new Black Swan record! Love that they are back at it already. McAuley is just pumping out quality music these days! If I were to wish something, how about trying writing something with Steve Mann?
McAuley's voice is still very good - don't quit anytime soon!
Very excited too for another Black Swan album. Will hopefully be getting Robin back to chat about it.
Seems like MSG will indeed tour the new Album Universal with Ronnie Romero outside of Europe but with Robin McAuley in Europe!! Finally will be able to attending a McAuleySchenkerGroup gig!! Hope he will treat us to all the great tunes from back in the day and is allowed to sneak in a song or two from his new Solo Album and his Black Swan stuff. Would be so awesome, and Michael adding his magic flavour too…
@@antoniuswevers4568I'm also really exited, it will be my first ever Schenker concert final. It really is the entire McAuley Schenker Group except from the bassist. I don't think there will be any Black Swan or McAuley solo songs, but I would love to see both a Black Swan and a McAuley solo tour!

I agree when Robin says if there's no entertainment, there's no show. Today's bands have lost the entertainment aspect and now everything is just one dimensional and melancholy.

Was never a fan of MSG maybe a couple songs but Black Swan and Robins new album is so good
Perfect Timing is definitely my favourite MSG album and the only one I still play regularly. Great to hear Robin still going strong with Black Swan and his solo stuff now.
