this video brings so much clarity, thanks a lot for doing this🙏❤️ instead of jumping on the bandwagon, the points mentioned indeed helps to assess one's priorities.. really like the speaking style emphasising with the hand gestures, on point💯, thanks again for this video, learnt a lot..
Though we know an MBA isn’t ticket to success or measurement of our skills, it’s sad that many companies ask for an MBA. That’s the main reason why many people pursue it either willing or unwillingly.
True.. I'm pursuing MBA fom Lpu right now.. and got placed in Amazon (operation) without any work experience but yes if you have any work experience with you it would be great although you can always do an internship or live project while doing MBA.
Omg...the the 5th point is directly related to me.... you don't know mam how much relief you gave me... bcuz am a basically singer, actor, a creative person.... but currently doing CA INTERMEDIATE....... thank you so much.....................
MBA from a tier 1 B school is necessary if you want to work in domains like finance/management consulting/private equity/marketing/and to a certain extent product management. If one wants a high paying job(greater than 15LPA) in India and is a non Btech person, the odds of getting such a paycheck in your early twenties is pretty tough, so a MBA from a good college makes sense. Similarly for engineers(who don't like to code) MBA seems a good option. Because tbh core engineering roles pay peanuts when compared to Software/MBA jobs. The thing about experience(in Indian context), being a fresher and doing a MBA is not a disadvantaged(obviously if you are doing it from a top college) Infact roles in marketing/investment banking want folks who don't have much experience. Also the peer learning/networking in MBA is a big perk. To sum it up, MBA is more of a generalist degree. It teaches you to get "shit" done and figure out stuff quickly and make decisions. when you are under pressure.
Hello Ma'am! Thanks for this amazing video. I know many people who are doing MBA just for the tag. But the degree demands much more than that. Also, this video made it clear to me that I need not pursue an MBA right now. I need to gain some work-ex before that. Thanks!
1. Not for the sake of it. 2. Without work experience. 3. If you want in-depth knowledge in 1 field. 4. Magically turn your life around. 5. No interest in business or management. 6. Not ready to hustle or work hard.
How many years of experience do you feel is necessary before doing an MBA , does this vary for foreign or an Indian MBA ?Also in your video you mentioned that one should pay close attention to his/her wants and interests . How am I supposed to decide whether I have interest in business administration without studying it ?
Have around 3 yrs experience before MBA. Infact many foreign universities and top Indian universities ask for minimum of 3 yrs work-ex. You can read books on management, watch videos or do a crash course online to know if you are really interested in management. You can go to university website and check what subjects they offer. All offer very similar subjects. You can go through them and research about it on internet if you have no clue about those subjects.
7:00 But aren't there specialisations in some MBA programs as well?? How does that MBA differ from regular MBA & Masters in that purticular specialisation??
I did my BBA. So I can tell on that basis. MBA is sort of continuation of BBA. Though you have specialisations in BBA and MBA, subjects give you very general knowledge of all the subjects. Consider it as synopsis of any particular subject or specialisation. And specialisation in MBA is for one year, where you have to do a project work (internship) and study topics related to that. If you want in-depth knowledge or pursue your career in a single field, example HR then she suggested to focus only on that.
Hey, thankyou for clearing my mind. In the start of this video I thought why shouldn't we do an MBA? but by the end of the video i got a clear thought in my mind that yes, MBA is for me. I enjoy studying management and business. And after knowing all this I'm still willing to do it, there isn't any doubt in my mind anymore.. thanks a ton!!
Hi me a father suggested by my son for an MBA in finance taken the decision by him and resigned the first placement after 2 years experience. Basically he is BE in EEE and taken PG in MPTI specialised in thermal power sector. He resigned his job by a concrete decision that technical side he don’t want to continue and willing to divert finance. Can u suggest me ur opinion
Hello, what about when you are not clear about what you want to do, and you want to do something more than your current level career. Is MBA not a solution, to get a door in all other fields?
Hello ma'am I hope your doing good. Thankyou so much for this amazing video. I am an undergraduate student studying in 2nd year in B.Sc-CMS (Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics). I don't want to continue my studies in Science field since I feel drained and exhausted and no interest. I was planning to do to a MBA. But I watched your video now. I am interested in finance industry so which degree will be good for me? Also what kind of job am I supposed to do as an experience before a MBA degree. Could your please reply to me ma'am. It would be very helpful to me.
Thank you very much for this video. The points were an eye opener. And it would help people save a lot of money and time and effort. An MBA say from an IsB would I think really propel your career since the packages are high. But yes the time at which u do an mba so as to get that boost also matters. Say 26-27. However, this is a bubble that corporates follow of paying high packages to good school alumni like those from the isb. The trend in today's world is also shifting where companies was affordable staff who can do the same job in lesser amount or then staff who have more hands on or on ground experience than maybe an mba grad without that experience (as mba education is also generic) so don't know how valuable an mba would be. So if corporates can start a trend (of paying huge salaries to an mba grad) , they can also break it. Also, like you said, some of the top ceos don't have an mba. Thank you once again.
i have a question ! which degree should we pursue after class 12th frm commerce stream, so that we can get a good job and also tell us some colleges too with minimal fees and best results

Hi Mehar Sindhu Batra . I'm a UG student in Calcutta And am confused between CMA AND MBA. My interest is in accounts. Also my aim is to work abroad. So pls pls suggest something . Pls di Am totally confused of which to choose
reason 6- you have to work hard in all types of fields whether be it to get a mba degree or be a professional artist you always have to work hard. For example to be a professional artist you have to carefully choose the right colors and shade and paint with focus. All im saying is that you gotta work hard to achieve your goals there are no such things called easy paths
But if we do normal course rather than integrated mba, there will be work experience,at the same time integrated mba is much more better than normal program, but it doesn't have work experience, so what should we go for? Doing normal bba or bcom will go waste, but If we do ipm like a 5 year program it will give more options, but it doesn't has work experience, ahh what do I do mam
Fundamentally & Theoretically you make sense , but Practically you don't ....as Afterall , What it boils down to is your technical , managerial & communication skills along with a strong network , and an MBA from a reputed college makes sure you acquire that , and that's the whole point .
