MArch vs MBA After BArch | Which Career will give you Higher Salary | Architecture Job

- After completing my B. Arch i.e Bachelor of Architecture Course, I as a student was very confused that what to do after this. Should I go for Higher studies or should I opt for a Job and started doing the job just after B.arch.
The problem arises with all their options are:
1. After BArch if I choose MBA then this career is completely different. BArch is all about building and space designing & planning whereas MBA is keener on Business Management studies.
2. After BArch if I choose, March then the main question is should I get a higher salary too as compared to an MBA aspirant.
3. After BArch if I choose to look for a job and do a job in any architecture firm or interior firm then the salary is not up to our expectations.
In this video, am giving you my best opinion that after Barch what will be the best options out of the above 3 options. The suggestion is based on my own experience and research.

Hi sir, I’m graduated b.arch and have pursued M.arch interiors immediately and now I have good exposure as I worked for 5years and slowly I’m getting opportunities as BM. However I want to go abroad to do masters to elevate my career do you think MBA would help me or masters in ID. As the foreign country doesn’t count an Indian experience. Hello, why you want to do MBA when you don't want high salary. You want to go away from construction industry or want to do construction management, real estate, you can decide accordingly.

If you want my suggestion, then I will tell you don't do a master's without doing Job at least 1 or 2 years. After that decide whether you should pursue a Master's degree or not. Because in designing fields like architecture, and interior design, there are no direct and huge benefits of master's degree in the field. 😅

Please guide us. Our son is interested in doing B.Arch. We are in Hyderabad and the colleges affiliated to JNAFAU have nominal fees (3.75 lakhs approx) but NAAC ranking "C". However there's ICFAI and Woxen universities (NAAC ranking "A") which are very expensive (12.75 lakhs + hostel & food extra).
Does the college (or the NAAC ranking) really matter after completion of B.Arch? For jobs/ higher studies in India and abroad?
ask him not to do b. arch. it's a dying course and unless you have family doing arch or a lot of money to fund him starting a firm eventually. I graduated in 2021 and I worked in one of the highest paying (for freshers) firms in delhi and it still did not pay as much as my engineering friends INTERNSHIP salary. Initially I also went with the mindset of money doesn't matter but then the reality hit when I couldn't be independent from my parents forget contributing to my family. if he is interested, or has applied to other design courses such as those in NID, those are better. anything in media and communications or NIFT BFTech is amazing. If he still wants to pursue it, do not waste mone on an expensive college based on ranking. it will not get you too far unless it's tier 1 (SPA, NIT, IIT)
