I'm totally at a loss,that our country went full meltdown over covid. There are so many other horrible things to be called home from. I love my lord and savior, my family and country. And would die defending all 3. I can't fathom ever forgetting any of them.

I cared for her for almost 9 years, before I got too sick my own self, to keep her at home. The particular horror is that, while she could die tomorrow, she could also live another decade, for all anyone knows. Your words and your song speak to the conflict I'm struggling with so much! How do I love her like ths? Not can I love her, but how do I love her when nothing I recognize but her body remains? How do I hold her and let her go? Can I?😢
Try reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, it is a comfort guide through the process, and even a guide to live life. By dead I dont mean physically strictly, but emotional too. My grandma didn't know me near the end and even told me to go away angrily, but I never took it personally. Wish you the best, be well.

My mother passed on April 10th. Dementia took my mother long before that. I spent the last 5yrs of her life caring for her and watched as the woman who raised me slowly became weaker and weaker. She spent her last 2 weeks in hospital. I arrived for my daily visit 2mins after the nurse pronounced her and she was still in tye room arranging my mom in the bed. This song perfectly explains why I'd rather just die than have my kids have to deal with this pain
