Some tactics:
Use Tsubasa only for Cyclone
Do not try any other shots than Cyclone from distance. Goalkeeper would easily catch them.
Do try shots near the keeper (especially Neo-Tiger Shot) so that he cannot do his special catch.
Do try through balls whenever possible. There is a good chance of penalty.
Be lucky :) as I was in this match. Toninho is their weakest man and they played with him a lot.

For the final match, consider having Misugi in at the start of the game. Try to have Tsubasa take the Cyclone shot whenever he has the ball, even when behind the centerline- don't waste guts on dribbling the ball with him. Hyuga shots 1v1 on Goalie can trigger a penalty-shot or score. Misugi has a good chance at dribbling past the Goalie to score. Any other shots just won't work. Lastly, if you need to recharge guts? Have your defense dribble the ball backwards, pass, then dribble backwards again! This can kill 5-minutes easily.
tsubasa: long shots won't work... except from me :D

It's easier if you control the ball by passing it all along the defense, and then to the midfield, and then to the defense again. the bird cage, just like in the anime :P

at long wakabayashi stat is high enough to punch it and a long with special cutscene that can occur when he try punch/catch ball that will guarantee make Good Punch/Catch

@@Changetheling I myself have beaten Brazil by 4 goals difference and without losing a game. I recently beat them by 2 goals difference despite stopping playing for 8 years. And Genzo Wakabayashi should have 89 or 94 fist no 123, what I'm saying is that that man has played it in easy mode losing several games. Think before you comment and more when you talk to who has the highest results and without losing all RUclips in Captain Tsubasa games and that no one has surpassed since 2007.

Use his backshot, I destroyed the net many times with that shot, it's by farr the best shot after Tsubasas Cyclone! ;)
It's a shame he doesn't have stamina and if you spend him total in one game, the next game he can't play. So use him with care!
And BTW, if you don't have 400 for Cyclone, use Tsubasa's backshot, it is almost as good, about as good as Misugis backshot in the end of the matches like this guy here should have done, costs 320 and sure beast just stalling.! ;)
The author of the real story in 2nd part of the anime is really unfair to this great Prince by doesn't give him a long shoot. He just care about tsubasa, misaki and wakabaiash. He is really the stupidest author I have seen in my life

In general, I will prove to you that the author does not want this player to shine, ignoring his huge fans. We all know that the second part of the anime series is a fundamental turning point in the series for all the events that come after, and that because it is a new beginning for a unique event that has no precedent, which is the long shoot which gets the attention of all fans of this anime and you know that All unique players who led their teams to the national championship trained on long shots in order to obtain the National Championship Cup. Now, when he (the author) put Misugi and Hyuga in same group in the pre-qualifiers of the National Championleague, that mean the author was ganna excluding one of these two major poles in the tournament and that what was really happened. When Misugi lost the competition, he had no motivation to practice on a long shot that fits with his high stature to play against Tsubasa on one hand and to win the national championleague on the other hand. After that, in the international team, Misugi played in the Argentina match and partly achieved what was hoped from his fans and shows his skills and scores his beautiful goal as usual in an important match like that one, and this did not happen but a disaster happened when the author returned him back to defenders erea. What!!! Are you serious an idiot author, by returning a spherical phenomenon player to the defenders field !! ?? !! and why? because of highlight other players I mentioned to you earlier. This is also what happened to the goalkeeper Wakimitsu. In the 1st season (the old one) , he is a great goalkeeper whose level has deteriorated in the 2nd very strangely, to be after that with limited skills and to keep Wakabayashi in the substitute seats. so by this way he saved his goal from intering any goal except from the best player who is Schneider and this is not logical at all and to save his reputation. I can writ a book about this stupid author if I want

there is a trick to score easier that at opp's corner, you put 2 players into their penalty area and after regaining the ball, you pass it all the way to opp goal then your player will 1-on-1 with keeper. If the ball is deflected, the 2nd player will collect and score to open goal.
Score with Tsubasa heel lift is way easier than using special shots.

"Rivaul" from the manga/anime is a reference to Rivaldo, Barcelona's ace midfielder back in the days. He doesn't appear in any of Tecmo's games.

The team is so very trained, if you lost and play again and again you level up the players. I end the game with player in level 19 (top players Tsubasa, Misaki, Hyuga, Wakabayashi, Misugi) Those are up than level 30
