Nothing beats the not your mothers mousse but I've been liking the amika because of the extra heat protection. It adds volume and some hold and it worked better than the cake beauty mousse for me. I'm more of a foam girly though

I do like the definition and root volume. For mousse, I like the Mark Anthony Strictly Curls Curl Emhancing Styling Foam -- its a mousse not a foam and has strong hold!

Maui Coconut Oil Curl Qrench is also another affordable drug store curl cream if you haven’t tried it yet!! Goes a long way for the price! And also smells nice (-:
I have the new AG Recoil version and just a heads up, it has a beautiful vanilla scent now. I read reviews on the older formula (which I never tried) that it smelled really unpleasant. It seems they listened to the input of people which is awesome. Have you tried Curlsmith's air dry cream by the way? I really enjoy that one and curious what your experience has been with it. I do have to be a little more light handed with it though as it provides a lot of moisture and slip.

I actually layered a brown liner and a red liner and smudged it out, then applied a clear gloss on top! I was trying to replicate the look of the Refy set 😅
Maybe in a future video, instead of just holding up products, you can show us their texture too & tell us about their feel (like does it have slip etc.). That would help a lot especially when some of these products are new to me😊
I have done clips showing product texture in the past and definitely want to again! I know it’s helpful. It does take a lot of work but if it’s something a lot of people really value then I’d definitely do that! I usually talk about texture a lot, maybe I didn’t as much in this video
I recently tried the briogeo curl cream twice and it left product "clumps" (white specks) throughout my hair :( would you say this is protein overload?
Usually this is because it didn't play nice with some other product in your routine. You can test this by mixing a tiny bit of each product in your hand. It will kinda clump up and look cottage cheese-y if they're not compatible.
Yes this is most likely it 👆 unless you’ve had the bottle for a long time then it could possibly be old.. protein overload will usually affect the texture of your hair!

How strong is the vanilla scent? I can't stand vanilla scented products so if it doesn't go away immediately I'll never buy it again.
