Has anybody checked on the handicap and shut in people? They have no way of getting out or no way to buy food, water due to fixed income or the fact that they are alone. I am sure the electric company can give the state a list of people in oxygen and other medical devices. In storms like this, they are forgotten. Who will check on them or help them?
The same people that normally check on them and help. If they’re on a medical device I hope they would plan accordingly with a generator, battery pack, etc. How would the electric company know who’s on oxygen machines?

Many of these people live on limited income and have no way of getting out without assistance. This is not automatic in any state. If you don't reach out for help, you get lost in the system.

Everyone else took off without telling me anything, forgot about my existence, even family nearby. I also have family in the Tampa area. Talking about closest blood relatives. Alot more in the Tampa area.

It’s almost exactly like Charley. Rapidly intensified to cat 4 before landfall and hit Port Charlotte. I’m sure a lot of Port Charlotte residents are feeling the deja vu.

Bad idea within the strike zone of 50 miles Ft Meyers gets the dirty side , most of those parks will be devastated.
