It's Sunday, October 15th, 2023 and I had never seen your channel before but I have subscribed. My home is very tiny with only 2 tiny closets and I do have a storage unit in the next building. I live in a historic registered Flat and I am not allowed to use molly bolts or nails in my walls so therefore most of my walls are bare. I am calling it my stepping stone until next summer I am buying my first home. I am simple I am praying for a gas stove, a quiet neighborhood in a quaint area of town close to my Dad's home, at least 2 bedrooms so I can have my first ever sewing/craft room without it being in my bedroom or doing all from the dining room table. I would like my own little porch as I love to read outside and craft outside so hopefully on the porch will be outlets like my Mom's perfect porch she had.
The previous owner of this flat that I am renting put in a very large serving window which allows heat into the kitchen and the window sill of the serving window is quite wide but I love it. I displayed little things on it for Christmas last year which mostly was my little trees. Christmas trees all different. I bought 2 of those gold tea light Christmas trees that you used in this video. I never did turn them on but I might this year. I always buy things I can afford in 2s. I displayed them both one on each end nestled into the other trees. At the Dollar Tree last year I found candle stick glass holders unusually shaped. I bought 2 they reminded me of snowmen and I wanted to recreate them but working on Saturdays and 40 hours a week time and exhaustion didn't allow me to do many crafts last year. But, I have 2 mercury glass Christmas tree ornaments that are too large to hang on my 2 ft tree so I was able to display the ornaments on these 2 candle stick holders and I loved them on the window sill. I arranged my display so one part faced the dining room/living room and one side faces into the kitchen.
I loved the concept of your first arrangement but was concerned of it's steadiness. I would never condem a crafters ideas ever but wondered about ideas for a different base. I once took a huge glass fish bowl (so sorry I got rid of it when I moved) and I made a snowy village in it and the mini people along with ski'ers were all made of wood from Sweden. I put a string of lights behind the snowy scene. But, I do love lantern 1 also but have to say my favorite of both was the 2nd one. Your ideas are great, your very beautiful and I hope to see Christmas ideas you have for this season.

I just wanted to say that I watched both part one and two of this video and I think it's a great idea. I'm going to try and make some for Christmas. My dollar tree is selling the plastic diy snowglobes and I think they will make a great replacement for the actual light up lantern part.

The lanterns in this video came out super cute. Very inspiring. The glass candle holders work so good for so many things. I use them for lanterns and when i make tier trays I use them for the dividers go go between its plate ect... Sorry I lost my words on what its called. Lol. 😝

I was just in Dollar Tree and saw those big candy jars. I thought they were fish tanks😂😂😂. I didn’t pick them up, since I don’t have fish, but I may have to go back and grab some.
I also had an idea on how to use them as a cute Christmas gift, other than the obvious lantern. I was thinking of filling them with candy or tea/coffee packets, and include the tea light, and let the recipient know that after enjoying the treats, they now have a cute little lantern. Not sure if I’ll be able to do this this year, as we already purchased items for about 30 gift baskets we are giving out, but if I can’t make them this year, it gives me a year to get a bunch of them ready for next year. Thanks so much for sharing your cute ideas. I’m a new subscriber, but I am really enjoying your channel so much.❤

These look really cute! I have a suggestion though. When you add the little people in, before you put the snow in, why don’t you glue them to the bottom? Then they won’t slide around. And then add your snow.
Definably could do that. I wanted to keep it so I could change it but yes that's a good idea!
Beautiful, but I would weigh the base with sand, pebbles, rice. Something to offset the weight at top.

I liked him. I loved your crafty. Christmas plastic glasses with the big candy bowl up on top and just does not look good not to me. I don’t know about anybody else but the other the bigger one not as big as that but the bigger ones that you had would be just perfect that’s not getting it, thank you for showing me the other ones though cause I’m gonna use those. I'm totally bummed with these other replacements bc thwyee just not giving what its missing ,8f that makes sense 😢 the sugar bowls was giving RICH, FANCY, high value ❤ can't express how much the design on the outside bowl gives exactly top dollar lantern & not diy project. Ill have to just watch for something similar in every store i run into 😂

Dollar tree used to have wine glasses with almost the same type of etching as on the plastic champagne glasses. The wine glasses are not as wide as normal ones. Don't know if those would work but an idea.

I agree. I love these but I would use the glass candleholders for the base also bc of the weight if you are using glass for the top of the lantern.

If you are making many lanterns once again you can order the glass candle holders on line and get several at a time. It may cost more but you have the weight to hold the glass jar. You cold add a wooden bead at the top to use to open the lid.

I’m disabled so making anything takes me longer than most people, and I’ve collected too many items for crafts. My goal next year is to make crafts all year, and try to use up a lot of my supplies.

Amazon has the plastic sugar bowls with lid BUT the shipping on is $8 & 4 bowls is $10.99. Total $19 to make 2 lanterns. It's a lot more than Dollar Tree

Why mix a cheap plastic wine glass with a heavy sugar bowl or jar? I have found nice wine glasses at DT and DG. They would be more sturdy.
