      It's still a fantastic game (the original United / Forever, not so much TM2) after so many years. Unfortunately the developer and producer are both shit who do not listen to fans and make promises a decade ago that they never realised.

      The 2020 version is very accessible, there are plenty of new players to compete against and you'll pick it up quickly. The basics are easy to learn and then there is a super heigh skill ceiling if you get into it.

    The fact that these guys can beat literal robots and cheaters is honestly insane. Especially in a game that's so precise. Dude was breaking a record 2 days after setting it lmao. The history of Mario kart speed running is really interesting too. A channel named summoning salt puts out amazing videos about speed run history. Someone should put Sum onto that too lol

    • @deddrz2549
      @deddrz2549 Год назад +1

      Not really 'literal robots', they call them tool-assisted because it's a person using tools, such as slowing down. Even the input script he was using wasn't driving the entire track, just the section that needed to slide. So I guess cheaters with the help of robots. Not just robots themselves

    Pretty weird but Trackmania is steeped in history like it's its own sport or something. You can probably feel the amount of use each track has gotten in that game. Must feel like driving around Silverstone or something and tasting all the history.

    What's crazy is that I have 8 hours on the game spread over years and my record on this track is 24.66, and doesn't use any of the tricks in this video. I'm not saying I'm good, but rather, the margins in this game are so tight that pros spend over 1000 hours on a single track just to shave off less than a second from an "amateur" time.

    • @TheFiendishFive
      @TheFiendishFive 2 года назад +12

    You laugh, but now that there are proper TASing tools that's exactly what he's done. He's now known in the community not as a cheater, but as a TASer.
    Yes lots of cheaters try to save face by lying about their intentions, but that doesn't automatically mean they're all lying about them. Previous behaviour does not inherently mean that everything someone says is a lie.

    It’s the speed slide the first new one it’s affected by your top speed before hitting the speed slide the newest 23.81 he hit 411-412 before hitting the break button resulting in him gaining more speed on straight after if anyone is trying to beat this record try speed sliding at the exact last second with your speed being the highest it’ll carry your momentum into the straight

    I'm pretty sure drucker just knows he can input random values into the speedslide to make TAS undetectable now. They shouldn't have publicized how they found out he was cheating, but then they would have just had to tell the community to trust them implicitly which is also rough.

    • @TheSpacePlaceYT
      @TheSpacePlaceYT 2 года назад +3

      Tbh its insanely difficult to make something look natural with values. The values have to be humanly accurate, because if you set random values within the range, they can automatically detect your non-validity.

    I love everyone in sums chat complaining about the video length. Yet Wirtual usually pulls infinitely more views with those videos. So I feel like instead of trash talking the legnth of the video they should encourage Summit to look into uploading videos similar to boost his numbers. You claim to be fans you'd want him to get as much success as possible and learn from people doing better. I understand Sum is getting older and there are bigger content creators for the young childrens (majority of yt) But I don't even know why I'm ranting about Twitch chat. There is a reason those people spend full days watching random people on the internet and pay them.
