Well Gordon, you know in life when you run across someone that's makes you smile and happy to be alive. Your the man! I'm not a artist by any stretch of the imagination but one day I ran across your site and watched some of your video's and I began to believe I might could try it, so 5 months ago I bought some supplies and started to paint. I love! You see I'm 73 years old and felling it but painting brings me so much joy and relaxation, please don't stop. I look forward to each day because I get to watch you and start my day with a great attitude. Thanks

Go for it Michelle I just started painting again after almost 40 yrs and kick myself in the arse for letting such a relaxing and rewarding gift go to waste for so long and like yourself, it was high school since I last picked up a brush, and even then all of my artwork was mysteriously stolen throughout the years "forever forward'.

Did you actually use water as a base on the canvas? Doesn’t it affect the binding elements of the polymer resin? Or was this painted on paper? It was very instructional, thanks! Greetings from America!
I added flow white with retarder on the canvas in the beginning, sometimes i mist spray the canvas if the climate is a bit dry.
Doest he back ground need to be wetto do this as I've already got a picture I've done, I just want to try putting clouds into it. Thanks

Looks easy, but mine still look like blobs. Definitely not clouds. LOL. I'll keep practicing. Ugh!

What can you use in lieu of a blending brush? Would a paper towel or cotton swab work?
Smileyrie James Thank you so much for your reply. I actually tried a blending makeup brush that i had but without much luck. I'll try the sponge idea to try this out until I can get a good blending brush.
I do have a question. You seem to be using more retarder than you do now. Or at least more than I see you using now. I only use it in my flow white not the next layer such as the phthalo blue. Is there a reason you don’t use it anymore after the flow white? By the way, all of your clouds are beautiful, always

I like how you started off with the blue. You kinda created a cloudy effect from the beginning rather than a fully blue sky and then painting white clouds on... nice job! What kind of brush do I need to blending. I am teaching a paint n sip class and need to buy several cheap brushes,

I love clouds. Every time i look to the clouds they remind me they can be anythimg i imagine them to be.

Nice to have some personality in the mix. Your an excellent teacher. Been having a helluva time painting the clouds on a step by step, so I snuck over here checked you out, and went back. Nailed it the first try. Wish the other teachers would share that little shading difference. My sky was full of those white lined, too high shaded clouds too. Now there big and fluffy and I can have as many as I damn will please! Thanks! G

i use white paint,any, but i add retarder in it to make it blend
