When clarkes spaceship landed(in smallville) it brought the kryptonite down with it so its spread throughout smallville

I am confused why they did this... but they made his one ship landing (as the comics and movies always portrayed) ... a meteor storm, which is a very, rare event in human history, as if the meteors were following and surrounding his ship, but if that was true, why didn't being surrounded by that much Kryptonite NOT kill the baby long before he reached earth? Modern writers just can't write decent science fiction but this show seems better than most.

@@kathleenhensley5951 well for one thing baby Kal-El was inside a ship which I'm sure protected him from the kryptonite that may have been nearby and besides that in the very first shot of the show there's no kryptonite anywhere near him. His pod obviously left Krypton long enough before Krypton exploded that he was in no danger so I expect the debris from Krypton was far enough behind him that it wasn't affecting him during the journey

I would have loved to seen an episode where someone put a kryptonite lease on a dog and Clark got attacked. Ok maybe Clark Luthor, guy was an asshole. I would have paid for the producers to make an episode where some pitbull happen to have a green k lease and bites Clark Luthor. We never got to see Clark Luthor get his.

If there was that much Kryptonite ... move somewhere else. This entire show has both some intriguing moments and a lot of plot holes. The questions have caused me to start watching and the plot holes are frustrating. The Teenage angst is annoying.
The problem I see is they aren't even trying to keep to story of how distant Krypton was supposed to be, nor how rare it would be on earth.

I mean...at the time they didn't know the meteor rocks weakened Clark and there was not much around in public places, also so much meteor freak accidents and other stuff happened in smallville so Clark would have to BE there to protect the small town.

Correction this was Smallville Season 1 episode 3 HOTHEAD, not episode one which I should know I’m huge fan of Superman ….. I’ve seen almost all of SMALLVILLE series, seasons 1-5 and little of seasons 6-10 but very fuzzy I don’t remember the ending.
