I've emailed liveATC and asked them to investigate these issues as I used to use their ATIS as a quick weather snapshot when i was in the city. It's now unusable. We did have some storms over christmas and that seems to be when these issues started on all frequencies, so my guess is some antennas have been moved in some way and the response i got was "We can't guarantee the quality of public channels". It isn't hard to email someone with a receiver and say "Hey, can you check your antenna?"
Bull crap,...Boeing designed and built the plane, not United Airlines. Believe me, when this is all said and done, United will be paid damages by Boeing!!!!!!!
Happened to my family and me once in Philadelphia. Fire trucks rinsed away leaking hydraulic fluid behind us after landing. Evidently it was pouring out. Excellent video of the leaking fluid on takeoff.
There's an excellent technical description and explanation of this incident, including how hydraulics work on a Boeing 777, on the 'Blancolirio' channel. It is one of my favourite channels, and it gives face-to-face explanations of many aircraft incidents worldwide, delivered by a 777 pilot.
nothing scares me more than hydraulic leak or hydraulics loss/getting stuck; basically anything related to hydraulics as it has caused some planes to be absolutely uncontrollable, therefore, to crash.
United is one of those airlines that values skin color and/or sexual orientation over safety. They don't care about your qualifications as long as you check their "diversity" boxes.
@@Pbairsoftman what were they then? I can excuse the bubble wrap incident and the one that fell into the grass but the others are definitely maintenance related
@@danman367 Sometimes parts just fail. Metal fatigue in a wheel, or a hose that developed a leak. Some of these things are impossible to detect until they happen. I would wait until a root cause is discovered before assigning blame.

EDIT: I made a mistake, I thought he flies for United but Blancolirio is an AA pilot. My fault I wonder if that was Blancolirio's flight. He usually fly the United 777 to Sydney and he was on the go. Although he usually fly from LAx, not SFO.

Nope. The United SFO to MEX hydraulic leak was airbus. It's a good example of coincidences and how our brains are keyed for pattern recognition but that can lead us astray. The tire issue and SFO to Mex were both 22 year old United planes that departed SFO and diverted to LAX. That's some coincidence -- but they likely have different causes, with tire likely being early part failure (so due to manufacturer of the wheel) vs the hydrolic failure is likely maintenance or early part failure also, which is probably not the same manufacturer of the wheel also. However, without the tire failure being so dramatic, or the earleir alaska door issue/and max issues in general, would these issues be as well covered by news sources? Per this channel, hydraulic failures aren't *that* unusual (vs a wheel falling off a plane bouncing onto a tesla is rather unique).
In none of the incidents so far were people hurt or killed. Just shows how redundant systems provides the ability to withstand these issues and still land safely.
My mom flew United three days ago from sfo to Sydney. Her flight was delayed by two hours cause one of the flight attendants got sick last moment, and they needed to find a replacement flight attendant and get her an eta.
I do not know how to contact you other than here but this may be of interest> One passenger is in a serious condition and eleven others are in hospital after their plane suddenly dropped midair between Sydney and Auckland on Monday afternoon. About 50 people onboard flight LA800, March 11th operated by Chilean airline Latam, were treated for injuries ranging from minor to serious when they touched down in Auckland about 4pm local time.
A fairly basic failure to content with. Continuing wouldn’t have been much of a dilemma either. Flap 20 and an alternate drop of the gear. At least the system saved enough centre hydraulic fluid for the nose gear steering otherwise it would have been reserve brake / steering, which would mean being towed off the runway.
Time to switch to airlines that only use Airbus. Boeing has been having WAY too many maintenance issues and they also just murdered one of their whistle blowers.
Again,...the problem is with the borard of directors at Boeing. They are just a bunch of business people who are looking at the bottom line which is the rate of return to investors and their annual bonuses/stock dividends. The problem is not just the 737 Max but almost every plane they have; the 777 and 787. Let this be a lesson; Boeing contracted out what use to be in-house and then sent the work to a non-union Boeing plant in a right to work state. FIRE THE ENTIRE BOARD OF DIRECTORS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE 👎🏾

2024’s got beef with United
United is beefing with itself apparently.

"smoking" isn't the right word. It fluid being aerosolized. It's no different than the mist from your shower head or garden hose
The only difference is that the fluid was skydrol. 😂

Nice to hear an immediate "mayday acknowledged" instead of the more common "What? Say again?"
Maybe they called a proper "mayday mayday mayday" instead of "uhm, we'd like to declare uhm an emergency", so ATC didn't have to ask to repeat

land and clear the runway, no use popping the bonnet for a squiz when you can't do anything
I wonder how the crew were notified about it? Maybe a warning went off in the cockpit?
low hydraulic level and/or low hydraulic pressure annuciators.
The plane will tell them when it senses, low pressure or low quantity of fluid in the system.
Boeings have EICAS, engine indications and crew alerting system ….low H pressure would trigger an Eicas message and the appropriate checklist
