BACK TO THE BUSH - Exploring The Pilbara From Onslow to Tom Price!

- This week we finally hit the Pilbara!
We are so glad we changed our plans!
We check out the old Onslow town site and find some pretty cool free camps on our way to Karratha.
We take the journey south towards Millstream where we soak up some more bush camping before jumping on the Rio Tinto road to get the Hilux nice and dirty en route to Tom Price.
This week we were right in our element!
Camping in the bush is what we are all about and the Pilbara did not disappoint (although we now have dirt EVERYWHERE).
Next week is going to be a good one, so stay tuned!
We take you to Newman where we find a sick free camp and start exploring Karijini National Park.

That swimming spot would be a godsend in the summer.
It would be a absolute oasis in the hot Pilbara summers 45°+. Its a great relief from the desert dust and heat

It's always specular views from Knox lookout and if you do go into the old township of blue asbestos minining town of wittenoom gorge mines wear protection gear and face masks and breathing apparatus masks and don't touch the dust and horrible stuff and maybe you both could tell the story about it what really happen

Love it guys! Quick question - do you guys need/take a chemical toilet on your trip? I’m going on a similar trip but only have a basic portable seat toilet

We don't carry a chemical toilet as we didn't have the space for it and have honestly never really needed it! You may come across a spot where it is required to have one but we just hired them for like $10 and this has only been twice! Otherwise we just dig a hole and thats worked out fine 👍 so your portable seat toilet will be more than fine.
