    I'd completely forgotten that you had to keep right to stay on the 401 at the 403/410 interchange back then! Heading left took you south down the 403, man. Now it's completely the opposite.

    Back before the Mavis Exit when Highway 10 was still signed as Highway 10

    wow the highway back then seems so peaceful. No trucks, no traffic between Mavis and Erin Mills.

      There was no Mavis yet then. Ended at Britannia.

    The extension of the express lanes of 401 from 410 to Mississauga Road weren't around until 2014.

    Reminds me of my childhood. There is little to no traffic and the Mavis exit is non existent. We took the Erin Mills/Mississauga exit to go home for Streetsville.

      The Mavis exit is at about 4:35, where the 401 starts to go downhill.

      @@njam101 Yup. And a Tim Horton's, Mr. Sub, and a Nicholby's. I read it's being converted into an OPP highway patrol centre.

    Nice video. I remember the highway lights would end at Hwy 10 at night you would drive into darkness if you were going further.

    I remember the Shell Service Centre was the edge of Mississauga back then.

    Good video thanks for sharing this remember 91 quite well... had a 75 chevelle malibu at the time this is when you get a quarter chicken at Swiss chalet for 3.99 and about 52 cents a litre for regular gas lol good times
