Here's a little tip: Fishing and Cooking work well together. The dishes that fish cooks into are both powerful and popular on the auction house. It's absolutely worth it to get the box of 50 paste bait from the Contract Coin merchant and use it to fish, then cook those fish into dishes. Note that I do NOT use the Rye Bread when fishing. It took almost no time to get to the point where the fish very rarely escape, and I'm fishing in low-level freshwater zones for the most part. The Rye Bread (which gives the fishing mastery buff) is VERY hard on your Golden Wheat. Here are some other good tips: You can farm both Golden Wheat and Honey in the Golden Rye Pastures. The Violent Harvesters and Wasps drop them, but the drop rate is low. You can get the crab meat for the Crab Meat Pie from the Sea Crabs and Hermit Crabs at Daybreak Shore. The drop rate is also bad but there are TONS of them. Use an AoE build and pull a ton to farm them. Farming the Terror Birds is very useful. They drop Terror Bird Meat, which is used in Herb-Marinaded Chicken Drumstick (60 Crit and Heavy Attack) -- a very powerful offensive food. They also drop Terror Bird Eggs, which can be used in place of the vendor-limited eggs in the vast majority of recipes. They are low-level and are in a dense area that also spawns a lot of Herbs, so if you are going to farm anywhere specifically to level your cooking, the Terror Birds are likely the best place. Do not pass up Mushroom nodes! I see so many people ignoring them, but mushrooms are ESSENTIAL in high-level cooking.
To add a little something here, if you are looking to farm some cooking materials like Black Pig Pork (in Purelight Hill)/Sea Crab Nipper (Daybreak Shore), it appears the drop rate is better while it's raining. For others like Scorpion Tail (Abandoned Stonemason Town)/Forest Wolf Meat (Gray Lycans and Wolves in Greyclaw Forest), the drops appear to be more steady while it's night, in-game. To reinforce what the the commenter I'm replying to is saying, I too believe it is best to level fishing and cooking simultaneously. I fished when I wasn't cooking, or cooked when I wasn't fishing, while on my road to 50. My Cooking is already at 17 and Fishing is at 15 and I just hit level 50 last night (I'm more casual and wasn't going to blitz to 50). Aside from the reason @Josh-99 stated, another benefit is that you can dissolve certain fish for the premium bait it provides - Fillet Fish Bait - , as well as a cooking ingredient dissolved from some of them -Uncommon Fish Oil-. I'm now on my last recipe for Cooking levels 17-20 (max), and while I am no longer using fish for my recipe, guess what ingredient is needed: Uncommon Fish Oil. I farm Scorp tails at night, have hundreds of salt already, Vegetable Oil is at the Sundries Merchant and the stack of Uncommon Fish Oil from all the fish I dissolved because I didn't need them to cook, are all ready to go. I found this short guide from Yaen on Maxroll to be a great reference when I started Cooking (my 2 cents in parentheses): Level 1 to 3 - Craft 13 Meat and Onion Soup. (I did Vegetable Stir Fry instead; early levels are super quick, choose what you like or have ingredients for) Level 3 to 4 - Craft 8 Kastler Salad. Level 4 to 8 - Craft 30 Wild Game Steak. Farm Black Pig Pork from Black Boars in Purelight Hill during the rain. (I did not do this recipe and for the life of me, can't remember what I did do, but if you don't mind farming Black Boars in the rain, it should be fine) Level 8 to 13 - Craft Healthy Milk. Level 13 to 16 - Craft Grilled Crown Fish. Level 16 to 17 - Craft Rare Enticing Cream Pudding (don't do this, just keep doing Grilled Crown Fish, especially if you've been leveling fishing; do you really want to farm Ant Wings and Fermented Rotein x5 ????) Level 17 to 20 - Craft Scorpion Tail Fritters until you reach the max level, which is 20 currently. Edit: typos
One of the shops has rotein and salt for very few of the pink coin currency, I skyrocketed my cooking after buying it out. Much better than expedition RNG in my opinion
Please, make guide about skill damage boost - skill damage reduction, bonus damage - damage reduction ^_^ and how they work on overtime damage effects (burning, poison)
Most of the things you've said are already in tons of other videos. You don't mention anything that are actually useful. For eg. What kind of food buffs you can have at the same time. The order of food you should make to get the most efficient exp for leveling. What kind of food buffs you rather have if you cant activate all the buffs you need when you grind and where you grind. If you can't have the best buffs, which ones should be the replacements. There are too many things, but the ones I mentioned here are what you should know about food buffs. (+Role base buffs if needed).
Definitely forgot to use a pickled fruit candy before crafting my healthy milk XD
Exp bonus on food is not useless when you are lvl 50, your exp go on your primary weapon, and mastery bonus goes on secondary.
What? I wish it said this stuff in game
really?!? I had no idea
@@blkarm4223 it does
@@blkarm4223 it says it when you hover over your weapon mastery :/ proof that people dont read in game xD
