I had to take a moment to thank you for the vid. I'm in California and don't understand much of what you say, but I truly understand what you play! I'm a Blues vagabond and need a travelin' guitar and have been searching the whole wide world over and stumbled upon your advice about the PGG guitar. Keep being yourself and thanks again..........
Thanks for sharing this. Been wanting a travel guitar for a while now. Love that it has a built-in amp. Have a couple of questions for you though. What is the difference between the PGG259 deluxe and the PGG259 BK model? Also, how many hours of playing does the battery last? Thanks again! I'll watch this video again when I finally get one but might have to reach out to figure out what it was that you did to the inside of the guitar to tweak it. I didn't quite get what you were talking about the first time around.
On mine the volume was fine, any more and it started clipping sharply. I use 11s strings, the stock ones were horrible indeed. Also replaced the nut and tuners. The pickup is a bit dull, but that helps with the harsh tone of the amp. Sadly the amp doesnt clean up nicely when dialing back the guitar volume, but I like the fuzz tone. I thought of replacing the amp with one of a micro amp but those either sound equally thin or wouldnt fit into the guitar without cutting away some wood. Thanks for uploading!
Thanks for the comment ,,i ended up doing a few mods in the end ,,firstly i replaced the pickup for an Artec Hotrails Pickup and that made a great improvement but blew the amp haha, so i then swapped the amp to a 2.5w Artec SDA-T which is amazing in comparison to the stock one ,and finally i took it to an amp & pedal specialist who modded the headphone jack to use as a send/return loop so i can run effects pedals through it while using the speaker ,,, I explain it in my latest vid but its a bit long and boring but theres a bit at the end with me using a looper so you can see what i mean ,, Cheers
@@SteveMontuno Yeah, I saw that one later. Nice trick using the headphone out as an FX loop. I thought of implanting a real Pignose amp into it, but at 5W it could be too loud, as they are supposed to only sound good fully cranked up and dialed back on the guitar. I will check out the Artec amps. Cheers!
I bought this Guitar Pignose two mounths ago. Good sound, good materials. I was Happy. But suddenly It stopped playing. I changed battery but nothing, It Is now mute. Can you tell me what Is the problem?
I just replaced mine yesterday . It is called a push/pull pot and I got mine for $11.95 CDN at Long and McQuade in Vancouver Canada but I am sure your local go to Music store will have one in stock. Cheers and Good luck. Perry
Donmt know if anyone can help but I've got a Pignose guitar that needs to be re wired (Everything there, someones tried messing with the wiring though). I need a wiring diagram for the push/pull!
@@snakeeyes7763 Thanks for replying, yep there's quite a bit going on with them so I decided to buy (another eBay bargain) a working one to see how it's all put together, ever had the feeling that you're going to have _two_ busted guitars on your hands rather than just one ?! 😅
Hiya Troy ,, its just a regular sized guitar volume knob from ebay ,,,if you do a search for " push fit guitar knob with abalone inlay " you should come across it.
Never knew Pignose made all this cool stuff!
Damn those riffs are pure British 70s gold

Could be a number of things ,,bad solder joints at jack input socket or on/off switch ,,,best to take back off and look for loose wires dude
I need to replace the off/on volume pot, what is it and where to buy ? Thanks.

How did you get on with it ? I just bought exactly the same thing, the amp, volume etc. all came in a bag !
@@TheVideoLounge afraid I sold it on as “not working” I couldn’t work out how to wire it correctly although I had it set up really nicely!
