Other dinosaurs: Treated like killing machines that can shred anything in their way.
Meanwhile herbivores and other hadrosaurs: Treated like punching bags for other dinosaurs, ESPECIALLY carnivorous dinosaurs.

When In reality a punch form a large hadrosaur (such as edmontosaurus) could easily scare off or injure a fully grown T. rex
@@Caiman_Editz true other herbivores and hadrosaurs especially are underrated but their punches are less effective yk only way for them to scare of large theropods like trex is by their massive size or just pushing them around. Their size is less likely to affect or even scare off large carnivores like giga or trex or any big canivores. For example a parasaurolophus had small forearms(small but muscular and strong) that couldnt really even do any damage or pose a threat to large or medium sized carnivores but they could push them around ig. You gotta know no matter what its better to be in a pack rather than alone as most herbivores are found in a pack so whenever they are attacked there is backup to call for. When alone however you chances of wining is very small but still winnable. especially for hadrosaurus like parasaurolophus, they are common in a pack or a team and then they can scare off any carnivoes easily but when alone, they stand almost no chance as in a pack its way better and a higher chance of survival than being alone. Most ppl say this is underrated and this overrated but dont even understand the important aspects of things

I think hadrosaurs are underrated in this game, they could easily defend themselves and kill any predator or at least run faster
I wonder if these could have made for a decent compromise:
1.) Have the medium carnivores’ attacks on hadrosaurs (and other equivalent herbivores) only inflict partial damage and only be a killing animation, once the target is at low enough health. The largest carnivores could still kill them instantly.
2.) Depending on the stats, one or two alternate animations may play out, where the carnivore actually takes damage while trying to attack a hadrosaur. The hadrosaurs will sometimes manage to bat the pursuing carnivore away with its tail. Or both of them could take damage, when the predator fails to get a good grip, allowing the prey to spin around and inflict a head-butt before continuing to run away.
3.) The medium carnivores that are piscivorous and/or at the lowest end of the size scale (like Cryolophosaurus) will only attack those kinds of herbivores as a last resort.
4.) If JWE2 were to feature hadrosaurs like Shantungosaurus, then those could count as the equivalent to large sauropods. Only the largest carnivores and (under extreme circumstances) some medium carnivores will even dare to attack them, and those can still be injured trying to attack such herbivores.

1:01 I love animations like these because they're a lot more realistic. Sure, you could definitely keep your balance and kill something while remaining perfectly upright, but sometimes things just happen differently, and I love that they did that with this Carno

It is like the para lays down on pourpouse and it is also clearly smart enogh to detect threats irl para wouldn't flee from aggressive small to medium carnivores attacking it as it would fight back.
