If you ever download a "8×8, 4×4, 1×1" it will not boost your fps because the only reason they added the option that we can change textures is to change the look of the game not the fps, and sometimes it depends on the mb it has, for example if it has "30mb" it will be kind of laggy.
Text your packs do kind of boost FPS a little bit because some texture packs could remove particles or lower your render distance

There is no texture that can fix your minecraft lag and fps
The default minecraft texture with low is max fps you can get
I think texture can change your performance,the lower pixel of texture pack its is lowering your resolution in the game, more pixek texture pack its mean more resolution to render/more pixel to render
Changing texture pack mean changing your resolution aswell.jusy like the other games
I know all of this, because im using mid end device.when im using 128× texture pack or above,the game become laggier,and my fps become stabil when i am using 16× or bellow

Texture packs with resolution less than 8x8 is pointless and useless because it will not boost fps minecrfat engine does notbsupport it
