I remember Mark Lenard as Aaron Stemple, the foil to Robert Brown's (another Trek alum-The Alternative Factor) character, Jason Bolt in the classic, no one remembers television western, "Here Come the Brides". That show made co-stars David Soul and Bobby Sherman both television stars and pop singing stars. While of course having to adjust his life would’ve been difficult for him, Kenneth Mitchell is also an example of representation getting better.
In prior decades, discovering you had a major disability would and did kill careers. The fact they kept him on and said “we’ll just give your character a hover chair” is a pretty heartening thing, and a sign that the landscape may be improving for disabled actors of ALL stripes.
As obviously it’s currently even more difficult for actors who are already disabled when they start their careers, than those who develop it later - and stuff is still SUPER difficult for the latter!

Michelle Forbes started off with one role in the TNG episode "Half A Life," before becoming Ensign Ro in TNG.
There are others, who just did two roles - and a few who only did one role, such as Mick Fleeteood ("Manhunt"); Jeremy Kemp ("Family"); the actor who played Negan in "The Walking Dead" (his role as a Reptilian Xindi in Enterprise's "Carpenter Street" really traumatised him, poor sod), and the guy in the Voyager episode "Coda" who played "Janeway's Dad" - he had a memorable recurring role in Murder, She Wrote as that MI5 spy who kept turning up in Jessica Fletcher's life.
Maurice Roeves and Linda Thorson both turned up once each in TNG's "The Chase." Maurice Roeves (the Romulan Captain) was always turning up in British TV shows in the Seventies and Eighties as a crook, and Linda Thorson (the Cardassian Captain) was famous for playing superspy Tara King opposite Patrick McNee in the Sixties TV series "The Avengers."
How on Earth could you have missed Leland Orser? Come on, he played Loomis in Enterprise's "Carpenter Street," the isomorphic projection with a touch of Norman Bates in Voyager's "Revulsion," and Romulan Commander Lovok (but actually a Changeling) in DS9's "The Die is Cast."
AND ALSO Salome Jens, who played the Ancient in TNG's "The Chase," and then the Female Founder in DS9.

Phil Morris, Actor: Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. he was the one who asked if they'll all get a medal... Uniquely connected to the Star Trek franchise, getting one of his first on screen roles as a child in The Original Series episode "Miri." This appearance may have stemmed from his father starring in the Mission Impossible series filmed in the same studios. As an adult, he went on to have roles in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek Voyager. This makes him one of the very few actors to play different roles in the original, movie, and spin off version of Star Trek.

I love seeing these. Working actors are the best. They never get the star roles and rarely get the big checks, but they eat regularly and really actually get to play with acting and show the diversity of range a good actor can have. The bad thing about becoming the star of something is often you can't break from that thing that made you a star. If you can at least become a regularly called on relied upon actor, things never get boring and you can semi avoid some of the insanity that comes with being the lead guy. If I were an actress/actor, being a 'that guy' seems way more fun.
