I am trying to figure out a tool that will allow me to check for default credentials (admin/password for example) on my external facing websites and networking gear. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Being able to crawl for subdomains, finding logon forms, then running a default credential scan/attack would be fantastic. Tried burp but that was a pain… Hydra?
nmap is your friend here. With the right flags can check for default creds etc. But only use it against hosts that you have permissions to run it against.
I'd be curious if Ferran and Halborn ever try models like Claude 2.x or other LLMs that don't necessarily have the 2021 date cutoff limitation, and different levels of agnostic logic algorithms against these contracts and CTFs in a sort of AB AC type testing like they did with GPT3.5 and 4. Haven't read the article yet, maybe they address this in there somewhere...
