It’s weird. I get that this is an amazing haul, and I am insanely jealous that you now have so many P. sp. Sabah Blue, but I have to admit to being a little surprised that TSS didn’t go for more variety in the box (I would have thought the AF Sabah Blue and 3 x juvies would cover a breeding project, for example). I expect this is because you probably have everything else worth having already. Your T. seladonia breeding project is on pretty solid ground now though, which is great news!
Think people need to remember this box was designed for Dan! The spider shop have known and worked with Dan for years. They know exactly what he wants! So to some of us this may not be the best mystery box because we would want a variety. But to Dan who plans on breeding rarer spiders, this box was perfect! So stop hating and being jealous and enjoy. In regards to the camera quality I see nothing wrong. Think people just like to pick at things. Nicely done Dan. Box was awesome and perfect for you!! ❤️

@@xxliezekexx It is not enough to be just nice guy, when your cam shaking lights are bad or without lights statically staying only one place, talking about events and how tarantulas are awesome, when not showing any of them or periodically with bad lights or out of focus... I know that's maybe it's not a big deal, but for me, when there are plenty of youtubers constantly investing efforts and time to improve their video quality, for me it was a breaking point. Yes, there were legendaries as tarantulaguy or RobC, but even his halfcrappy vids were full with action.

For £1000 you would of thought they would of got a bit more inventive than just stocking it up with Sabah Blue.. The Sabah Blues are not selling at any stores and the value will drop rapidly soon..
Fair enough.. You should of done the 1k with Spidershop PL or Spiderworld.. They would of gave you an absolutely ridiculous box.

Clearly TSS aren’t used to people buying a £1000 mystery box. So they had to fill it with the most expensive spiders they had otherwise the contents of the whole shop would have to have been sent out! 🤣
I don’t keep invertebrates but have been watching videos from spider keepers trying to cure my paralyzing fear of the wee beasties... those beetles were so beautiful, I had no idea those even existed!
I think it is helping! Seeing that they don’t pounce and start biting when hands come near them is relieving lol and when I get panicky looking at them, I search for something beautiful about them, like the color, or if they’re fuzzy 😊

the beetles are nice as hell but really the fast majority of the money you spent went to all the same sp of spider just different sizes personally i would feel kinda annoyed of the many ''duplicates '' and all but the beetles stock you already had would of thought thy would give you a greater mix like thy have plenty of centipede's at the moment , but really that's just my opinion what you got might of suited you better if it was me it would just mean selling allot of them like its a new sp and so fort but every extra one thy put in is one less chance another person in the hobby has at getting thier hands on one.
I would’ve been insanely happy with it. Both spiders are top of my wish list and now I want those beetles also. I needed a cheering up video, my first T death was my only Metallica. :(

The most important is that you got happy. If I got that box I would be a little sad, only 3 different sp is a "little" low. I would appreciate a lot more variety. I'm not a huge fan of T Seladonia (i think they are over price, too fragile, and not a very "display tarantula" cus they are so so small). But the beetles are simply amazing...really really cool.I would not be very happy with that box (but is just me and I guess they made that box thinking of what they know from you.....if it was another person I guess they would done different). The look of your face is priceless...you were true happy, and as I said at start....that is the most important.....so i'm happy for you.

Ingars Siliņš a T with so many colors not common in the hobby! It’s also a new world, that is arboreal that makes a trap door very rare and new in the hobby! so well worth buying to keepers of Tarantula’s! Not a easy species to buy for many of us!!

@@TarantulaDanMedia Do you render the Videos? If you do, maybe the issue is there. I see a lot of tearing and blur while you move could be that your settings in the software you use are a bit off. Good luck fixing it though :-)

I'm really jealous over the phormingoculis sabah blues. Its my favourite species and that's the one I haven't been able to get, you got a great breeding project for the future there. Good luck

90% of the mystery boxes are not worth the money you spend and the breeders send the you tubers the best ones to advertise. I have not gone through the spider shop so I hope they will send the same quality of box when I order.

2 years late, but that was T seladonia, very rare and expensive. They've dropped in price quite a bit over the years but still around £115-£150 for a 0.5cm sling. They are unique as they make trapdoors up in the trees.
Check out TarantulaCollectives video on them, he discusses the controversy around this species. long story short this species entered the hobby illegally as brazil never gave consent for these to be shipped across the boarder.

Anyone else have trouble watching some of Dans videos sometimes? I don't know much about cameras and dont know what camera you use Dan but the alot of videos you do seem very wavy and almost trippy, it's a bit off putting and makes an otherwise great video hard to watch. Also the brightness seems way too high when you show close ups of your spiders, really takes away the amazing colouration they must have.
