      Indeed good recovery although I would suggest the bike bucking like that was due to the power of the disc brakes snatching

    These races are always more fun to watch when there are no clear favorites like Tadej and Jonas. I'm impressed with O'Connor so far but I think he'll crack as the tour continues and Roglic will be there to snatch victory from him by the end of it.

      Roglic, will crash somewhere along the line. O'Connor will crack, he's very good, but not elite.

      He’s lost a total of 3 min to Roglic since the start of this race had he not had that big one stage he would not even be in the top 10 on the GC.

      If he wins , he definitely have to earn it! The attacks will come one many more stages from Roglic and others!
      It’s pretty interesting so far for the GC. I think it was the stage before O’Conner went into the lead that i thought, oh this is gonna be a boring walk in the park for Roglic… ummm nope.
      Bora / redbull keep giving up big time to GC threats

      Carapaz is putting it all out there. Gotta love the way hes performing!! Another REAL contender for a podium spot!!
      I have my eye on E. Mas for a podium and he possible win and he was going to take second place today but he had that serious mishap on the descent. I've not seen someone come so close to what could have been a really bad crash and then he saved it!! Absolutely incredible save by E. Mas!!
      I've also got my eye on M. Landa for a podium. He's been doing really well also
      Not expecting B. O'Connor to keep the leaders jersey past stage 16
      This is going to be and has been a great Vuelta!! There are some surprises and some riders that are going to have a real chance to win thia thing. We've got some great battles to come. Love it when we don't know who is going to win

    People saying "if Pogi was here he'd smash all these guys" and things like that . . . Who wants to see a race where you've basically got a guaranteed winner when you can watch a REAL race where there are probably 5 lads that could genuinely win this thing. THIS is way more exciting than the TDF because we have NO CLUE whats going to happen each day. We've got a REAL race on our hands!! Some great battlea to come this next 2 weeks!! Its been full of excitement already!! Cant wait to see this!!!

    Jfi... Discovery+ and Eurosport are now not available in Andorra where +175 of the top pros live and where many of the key riders in this Vuelta live

      Who wants to see that? I want to see a race where we don't know who's going to win. One where there are REAL battles for every position!! What's the point of watching a race when you have a guaranteed winner before the race even starts?

      I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!! We have a bunch of riders that have a REAL chance at the win!! I've had my eye on Mas and of course Carapaz. Landa is doing quite well also. It's been a great race so far and we are in for some great battles in the next 2 weeks. I'm loving this!! So much better than TDF where we knew it would be Pogi for the win and if we got lucky we would get to see one of 2 guys win (Pogi or Jonas). At least here we have several riders that could win. I say there's probably 5 riders that could get the top podium spot. It's a REAL race!!

      I live in the States and I have Eurosport BUT the American network NBC has the rights to La Vuelta and TDF so I am FORCED to watch those 2 races on NBC or their streaming service "Peacock" and my Eurosport streaming service isn't allowed to stream it here in the States. The commentary by the American network is so awful. It's just terrible!! I can't believe I can't watch on Eurosport. It's really annoying

    Man, Mas was lucky that just in this corner the guard railing was set back by a few meters, that could have been a horrible crash. Still, to even keep it upright in that scenario, phew.

      @@Captinfun101 I was surprised to see Yatesey lose so much time in first week but yesterday's performance was GREAT. Roglic just needs to keep the rubber side down and he looks pretty good for this but we've got several lads looking great. My eye has been on Mas. Carapaz and Landa are doing really well too but Landa is not the spring chicken he once was. I think he's just hanging on so he doesn't lose time but he's doin a great job of that. His performances have really surprised me. I don't expect Ben to have the jersey after stage 16 but we'll have to see. Some big stages to come. If Ben still has it after stage 16 I definitely don't expect him to still have it after stage 20 and then the final ITT on stage 21, that combined with the final weeks climbs could knock him completely off the podium. Not sure Ben can hold onto the jersey. He doesn't expect to either

      @@hobmarg his team is one of the biggest issues for him holding the jersey. They can't control these stages for him. Ben is going to be left alone on most if not all these stages and he won't be able to respond to all the attacks alone. That is a real problem for him

      He is the one I've had my eye on!! I think he's got a definite podium spot and a real chance at a TOP podium finish. Carapaz is in real contention also. Landa is doing really well also. I've been surprised by his performance. This has been and is going to continue to be a great Vuelta!! We really don't know who is going to win. We are seeing several riders in real contention for the win. This is great racing!!

    This is no put down of Sepp Kuss - he's still gonna be one of the best mountain support riders in the world, but I have to say "I told you so" to all the people that thought he was going to magically become a contender for major tours after his win in the Vuelta last year. I said it then: "As much as I would LOVE for him to become a tour contender, it's not going to happen."

      He's not even keeping up with tier 3 riders on the climbs so has to be out of shape, at least compared to last year.

      Personally I wasn't expecting him to podium. Don't get me wrong, he's an incredible rider. I just think last year's La Vuelta was a "one off". The stars aligned and he found himself in a position where he could win. Now it's just a question if he'll get top 10 but it's no surprise to me at all

      It's a REAL race!!! We've got probably 5 lads (maybe more) that could genuinely win this thing. We have some great battles to come. This is great. I love ALL races but who wants to see a race where there's basically a guaranteed winner. That's no fun. I still watch because I'm a HUGE fan of the sport but I want to see a race where there is nothing that is guaranteed. I want to see some battles. I want excitement. Pogi and Jonas are fun to watch but you know one of them is going to win and where's the excitement in that?

      COME ON!!!! It wasn't even a descent finish. It was a flat finish. What difference is a descent finish as opposed to a regular descent anyway? If you're fighting for position it doesn't matter where the descent is. Every descent is dangerous. Are we supposed to take out all descents😂. That's ridiculous

      @@kennykaniff big difference descending hour 2 of a ride and hour 4 of a ride. Let’s see you go 90km/hr crossed eyed from a ridiculously hard day and gain time on GC. Unless your Tom pidcock you ain’t gaining any significant time at the end of a day like that.

      @@Thesailingrunner First of all these guys are professionals so it's irrelevant if I can do it or not. The amount of crashes on these descents is very minimal. It's a common thing to have a descent 3 or 4 hours into a stage. I understand what you're saying about hour 2 or hour 4 but it doesn't matter where the descent is, if a guy wants to take time he's going to do it. I think your view on this is pretty nuts to be honest

      Where's the fun in that? We've actually got a REAL race in our hands!! No guaranteed winner. That's what makes this better than the TDF where Pogi was basically the guaranteed winner. It was boring. Everyone knew he would win. No battles!! This is REAL racing!!!
