Hey Greg. Not sure if you’ve been there before, but there is a beautiful fish and chip shop on the spit, pretty much right near the dog beach. Discovered it when I took my pup down to the water. It’s called Seaway Kiosk. There’s also a great place in Wynnum I’ve been going to for years called Pelicans nest, but the spit is probably much closer to you. Hope you try them out!! - Ellyse

The best fish n chips in QLD is Golden Seafood at Golden Beach. Great staff and crisp fish and chips. Another great one is Glenwood Seafood at Morayfield, not as good but still awesome.

I prefer just seasoned over batter but that was probably the best fish and chips I have ever seen! I do not think anything here in the states would even come close. The batter layer seem to be thin and prepared well. I hate the batter becasue most are thicker than the fish inside of it. But this actually looked really good. Do they deliver in Virginia?
Time to do some research on where Basa comes from Greg. They used to farm Chickens over mesh in the Mekong delta and feed the farmed Basa on the waste. There’s a reason why it’s cheap bud.
