  • Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) is a key low-carbon solution, enabling the production of clean power, clean products, such as steel and cement, and clean hydrogen - which can be used to decarbonise heating and transport. CCUS also enables greenhouse gas removal from the atmosphere through Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage (DACCS) or Bioenergy with CCS (BECCS).
Industries in Europe urgently need to clean up their emissions in order to meet Europe’s climate targets. To keep these industries thriving, they need a way to reduce their emissions without disrupting their growth. CCUS infrastructure will transform the EU’s industrial regions, allowing these industries to continue thriving while reducing their emissions.
CCUS is ready now, with many projects in development across Europe.

The CCSA is the lead European trade association accelerating the commercial deployment of CCUS, with offices in the UK and Belgium. We work with members, governments and other organisations to ensure CCUS is developed and deployed at the pace and scale necessary to meet net zero goals and deliver sustainable growth across regions and nations.
