Storm King Art Center, the massive 500-acre outdoor museum in New York, full of sculpture and nature

DAY FOUR of our Art & Foliage trip was an extra special day. Not only did we go and experience Storm King Art Center in scenery we didn't even imagine, but we also celebrated Euka's birthday!
When it comes to Storm King, we've actually been there before in the summer season for Arthur's birthday, but we actually never went and explored it in autumn.
And wow, oh, wow, autumn is probably the time to go there because of how the incredible foliage works with the massive sculptures, truly a spectacle. Rain or shine too! Because while it can be easy to decide not to go on a rainy, gloomy, foggy, misty day, understand that those natural elements can help make an experience very magical.
In terms of Euka's birthday, one of the things Arthur made was a special kind of "cake" for lunch, a vegan Smörgåstårta, which included a homemade beet hummus, homemade yellow bell pepper hummus, homemade guacamole, sliced cucumber, chopped chives, bread on top of bread on top of bread, and more. And for the little dessert after lunch some brownies. And then there was breakfast and a sweeter birthday cake too for the evening, and dinner, oh the food fun, experiments, and explorations that happened on this day. Unexpected like rain in Storm King, but it all worked out in the end somehow.
All in all our FOUR DAYS of Art & Foliage in New York and Massachusetts came to an end on this day and the overall trip was very beautiful, full of sites we haven't seen before, along with some revisits to some places we've been in the past. The great part is that all this is accessible by car and not too far from New York City.
So to anyone living in NYC or visiting, understand there are some amazing sites a short drive away that are beyond worth the visit if you're into art and foliage.
